Easily trio'able by a MNK/WAR, NIN/BRD, and WHM/SCH.

It's rather laughable honestly, you would only need to keep your white Mage out of range and then when Odin goes down to around 5% before his 10k attack, have the MNK disengage and the NIN will tank with Migawari. This coupled with boss weapons will guarantee a fast kill. The NIN needs to /BRD for Finale to get rid of Odin's Dread Spikes, that speeds up your kill. and right after Odin uses his final 10k attack, the MNK needs to pop Berserk, Impetus, and Hundred Fists and hammer Odin before Zantets can go off.

Why would you do that? If your pets die that's money out of your pocket, my method has 0% cost to the player, and is much much faster as opposed to wittling it down. You can spike damage with Weaponskills from both the NIN and the MNK, and while the MNK gets out of range the NIN can keep attacking until the interval passes, then it's back to it.

if you really want to get picky, it was trioable pre-adoulin by nin/dnc x2 and brd

you can have both marches up faster than a whm can haste 2 nins, you don't need to sub brd on nin, and hate ceases to matter

i don't see the problem if someone wants to use a pet job though, they need basically 0 gear and 0 thought and that's what most of the newer population seems to want

By trio do you mean bringing in 3 more people so you don't get kicked or killing it before you get kicked out of chamber for not having 6? If that is even possible.

nin+anything is still probably the lowest you can go to safely kill it within the 10mins. If you're after drops and not just amps, either nin/thf+brd/whm or nin/brd+whm/thf. You can also kill any einherjar chamber with 2 characters.(besides odin2 obviously) AOE kills are your friend.

Still need 6 regardless the jobs. Can't "2 man" it due to entry requirements.

Yes you can. As long as you kill it, distribute drops and toss lamp within 10 mins.

You don't even need to fully clear the other chambers to still get points.

You buy that lamp they don'tcare, Kilusha states that after 10 minutes has passed and the minimum number of people are not present/active (Non KO) you will be ejected. You got 10 minutes to get this thing done, and it's easily killable by 3 PC's (Drama typically dualboxes so we go in with 2 active players)

Never done odin before and would like to kill it soon for mythic quest.

Just wondering how would you cope with Geirrothr if you do it in a trio? assuming the whm is out of range, then does that mean the mnk and nin eat 5k dmg each? that sounds like too much dmg for the DDs to cope.. or does -PDT/protect work? (assuming it is a physical attack, i have no clue!). I guess the ninja can migawari for it, so if you can get -50% PDT does that mean the mnk just take 2500 dmg and have enough hp to stay alive? or does the ninja manage to keep hate and the mnk just runs out of range every 25% hp?

Might be talking total rubbish here (basing my thinking from what i read on the web XD). Would love some advice! thanks

Thought so, but getting a ninja to keep hate from a mnk sounds mission impossible lol.

As long as you're able to get your MNK to turn and able to see the percentages of Odin's health, he uses his 10k attack every 25% hp. I think it'd be safe for the MNK to turn/disengage at these percentages.

80% or 79%
55% or 54%
30% or 29%

then when he's about to do Zantetsfuken you have 2 options.

If you wanna play it safe, disengage at 14% or 12% and let NIN retake hate, then get at least 30' away until Zantetsfuken goes off.

OR

If you feel lucky/ballsy, the moment he hits 12%, fire up hundred fists/Impetus/Berserk, and hammer him. Make double sure to use weaponskills at 100% TP, this will ensure a kill as long as you kill him before Zantets goes off. If not, have your NIN raise up, equip RR, mijin gakure, and then raise up while WHM covers them.

Sounds sane and clear~ Thanks!

How much healing do you need? Can a bard/whm replace the whm/sch so the nin can go /war or something ?

Pup can probably do it. Bst might have an issue with pet changing target to fight adds.

I cant remember how hard the adds hit but it wouldn't be too hard to re-direct back to him.

k

You can enter solo. The only requirements with numbers are if you want to stay in longer than 10 minutes after you break the lamp.

K?

Honestly the NIN/BRD is your best bet, NIN/WAR can't dispel Odin's Dread Spikes, whereas a NIN/BRD can do that, all the while the WHM can focus solely on making sure everyone's HP stays good and also buff haste/protect/shell.

This is just my own personal preference, experimenting is entirely up to you, but I found NIN/BRD to be a potent mix for the sole reason of dispelling his dread spikes so that the killing can keep pace. That way the healer can heal/buff without having to do anything else.

Again, if something else works for you, by all means give it a try and post here if it works.
