You just can't get enough of those swaying nipples.

Better to quote the original video too ...

aren't there a sites, where they catalog spiders by region ?
could look those up and find more about it

the only really reliable method is to determine if it's dangerous. far fewer of those. indexes usually focus on that end of identification since a spider is caagorized as dangerous to adults, dangerous to children and pets, or benign/yucky.

It kind of reminds me of a huntsman spider just smaller. It maybe worth looking into that family (Sparassidae) of spiders.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Huntsman_spider
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Sparassidae_species

or Male Hobo Spider.

http://www.termite.com/spider-identification.html#hobo
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hobo_spider

Try taking some more pictures or take a few to an agricultural extension office? Or Ask the UW or WSU.

those are my guesses

I tried looking over a few sites that listed spiders by states, and couldn't find it.

From what I've gathered, they're usually outside/on the ground/on the floor. Not really wall climbers.

Unfortunely, my cousin didn't take clear pictures of the top/bottom so it was easier to identify. The pictures I posted are about the clearest one she has.

I doubt they're deadly, but they're pretty gross/nightmarish looking >_>

And I thought the giant house spiders in my house were bad..

Think this could be it?

Another page

Was genuinely curious so I did a bunch more digging. I'm no expert, but I think from the orientation of it's fangs, it has to be a tarantula or a trap door spider, or a few others.

you're on the right track, the main areas to focus are leg length, joints, and thickness, abdomen shape and size, and coloration. a lot of the other characteristics vary a lot within subspecies.

what's the point of identifying them!? the only thing I am absolutely positive of is that they aren't the kind that give you spiderman powers.

as your spider smashing caddy....
/whispers I like the #12 men's dress shoe with a nice flat bottom for this one... so there is no chance they can escape death by perfectly timing a move into one of those waffle iron holes on the bottom of a tennis shoe.....

also you will want to start your downward swing before you move the glass. /swing motion

/picks up and drops some grass clippings

there is a slight draft but I don't think you will have to modify your swing...

/stands way back and looks concerned

I should add we're all amateurs at spider identification. We should leave this to professionals!

This:

http://pacifica.patch.com/groups/around-town/p/have-you-seen-one-of-these-spiders-in-your-house-lately

From the article:

But it was Linda Mendoza who identified it as a "sow bug killer," a Mediterranean invasive, this spider is usually found under wood or bark, according to information on http://nature.berkeley.edu, and usually found close to woodlice and in houses.

And … they have been known to bite humans if handled, so watch out. Their bite can be painful but the venom causes no major medical problems.

If it's an invasive species it would explain why none of my books have it. I don't live far from there, I'll have to keep my eyes out. The biggest concern we've had were some hobo spiders living in a wood pile left by the previous owners.
