Based on his statements, it appears he is a fan of SE's new works but dislikes original Square Co. works. Especially since the developers for LO were Mistwalker (The devs that GTFO when Square merged with Enix) No Ent you're wrong there I love teh Old FF's they are what I grew up playing. But I'm not 10 anymore pages and pages of Dialogue and slow as fights is boring for me now. I have a system now that can process things thousands of times faster than those old systems, I enjoy things to be faster paced, thinking of my feet I suppose and I think 13 did a great job in that aspect. I know it's not the same as the old and I embrace that.
You heard it here first folks, Lots of dialogue in a game makes it boring.
Now I can see why you disliked Lost Odyssey. I'm guessing you hate books too.
Psh no I love books, but I expect newer games to be developed past the point of me reading for days.

A good storyline, shortly followed by a good battle system are the key parts of any RPG.
The more dialogue you have available to you, the better. If you don't like reading, then RPG's aren't for you.
