Reach beta was a huge step up so that i'm real excited for. Battlefield is pretty solid but at times there seems to be movement and terrain issues.... just my 2 cents. I play a lot of console shooters.

I play a lot of console shooters, also. As much as I like PC more, I only recently got a computer that can play anything better than like Sega Genesis emulators. I have MW2, Halo 3, and Bad Company 2 for Xbox 360 (BC2 for PC), and I love the first two games. MW2, besides having my absolute favorite campaign of all time in a shooter game, also had great music, characters, and weapons.
Halo 3 is pretty much in the same vein, though I dislike the whole shield system in that game. It gives bigger groups the obvious advantage.
MW2 is still my favorite multiplayer shooter of all time, the only reason anyone dislikes it is because of noob tubers and campers, but you get those in every game anyway.

But yes it is strange how some hills you can run up and others you can't, even though it's the exact same slope. I just like how they actually applied bullet gravity. Can't be the perfect sniper anymore.

As I said in my edit to my essay-long post, I'm conservative in games. I see a banshee unmanned in Valhalla? I leave it for a teammate. See a Rocket Launcher, and I intentionally take it but keep it in my secondary slot to stop the rocket-whoring noobs on the other team from taking it.
I have CoD:World at War also, and the only Multiplayer I can stand to play is Nazi Zombies. Then you don't have to worry about senselessly invincible tanks and that sort of thing.

That's what I think MW2 needs. Weapon-type-specific maps. Noob tubers can go to explosives matchmaking and snipers can go to Team Snipers. It kept Halo 3 fresh for about three years.

I'm pretty conservative in FPS games too. That's why I always main the medic or healing class. and I don't mean to blow my own trumpet, but I'm a damn awesome medic.
I'm useless at sniping though, I prefer heavy, medic and scout. Medic because It's all about common sense and timing, Heavy because I love being a gigantic russian, and Scout because he specialises in hit'n'run.
Engie is fun too, but hard to do well as.

Halo 3 still puts in about 100k players at any given time... still has its numbers but halo is king when it comes to MP customization. L4d2 would be just as good if it was actual pvp but they have awesome mutations for campaign and what not.

Even with all the haters for MW2, it still has about 600k players at any given time. It's a shame Activision broke InfinityWard, we'd be getting patches a lot faster if the whole company was still together.

LV70, 10th prestige, and still not showing any signs of slowing down. Prestige challenges appeal to my total OCD side, I have to get 2500 kills, 1000 head shots, and all attachments with every gun before I'll let myself quit.

We actually played for a few hours earlier this week for shits and giggles to see how the game was going. Everyone just uses a noob toob or quickscopes. Game is still no fun, so I just ran around with an AT4 every single game pissing people off. I still never went negative, lol.

Since we all can't be on the same linkshell in game, this can be our cross server linkshell thread.
Like most linkshells, it can be pretty dead at times. Other times it's full of intense conversations about either rl, gear, goals, pokemon or anything else you want to contribute.
