I never once considered X-2 a game I was ever going to play anyway so that's irrelevant. At one point I did think there was a chance FF13 was going to redeem the good name of the franchise, since everything after 9 was just awful. Looked like they put more effort into FF13 than 10 or 12, but I guess all the effort in the world won't save you from ruining one of the greatest game series in the history of man, if your designers are complete idiots.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go ahead and enjoy good Final Fantasy music now.

Lost Odyssey pulled this off and I <3ed it, even though it was kinda more WTFemo than FF7. Still amazing regardless.
XII boss fights are fun. Regular fights are okay, but it's basically a bunch of watching since gambits will be fine. In boss fights, gambits can really *** you up so I have to do a lot of things manually.
Sounds like y'all just want to live in the past with FF. Tired of spamming Thundara on something over and over. Nice to play again every once in awhile, but if I ever see me having to do that again...

Some of the music gets repetitive but overall I enjoyed it. As for the areas themself, some were just breathtaking. I regularly stopped just to move the camera around and stare. When I got to Oerba for the first time the way they designed it actually made me feel sad. Not all of the game was poorly designed. They just missed half of it out lol.
Is it weird that the most emotionally striking game to me was FF9? Being immersed in the point of view of the main character and witnessing firsthand absolute genocide was pretty depressing.

The end of X was the only FF that made me cry. I don't care if Tidus was a *** - that ***was sad.

SE made the plot of that movie shallow as hell.
If it had been the plot for a videogame and you had grinding/items/lvls to buffer out the lack of plot it would have been pretty good.

EDIT: If you collect them and buy the mansion you can display them there, if you collect all 12 you get an extra soldier unit at fort condor.
