9.50 for movies now. I've decided once it hits 10 dollars I'm only going to the movies if I'm DYING to watch the movie.
The problem is, in my little dinky town, the movies is just about the only thing you can do. So.. :/

You guys are lucky... Movie tickets here are $16, regular screening, - $21~ for IMAX.
The first showing (am) everyday however is only $5. Everything after is regular price.
$9.50 - $10.00 isn't bad at all ;x.

I think the bigger cities its more expensive? Like in Seattle I bet it's around 12-13 dollars if not more. But I'm not quite sure because I dont go to the movies while I'm there. I should though! :o Anyways..
I live in a lil ol' town so thats why the tickets are cheap here.

All we have are Muvico and AMC. The Muvico with the slightly higher prices kills AMC ($12), I believe just because of theater quality. The AMC here stinks (smell bad) and are just not very clean in general. Not something you want to take your family to or spend time on a date with. Not all AMCs are bad tho, all the other ones I've been to that are a bit father away are very nice.

Believe it or not, I've noticed prices in larger cities to be lower and higher in the suburbs. Around here anyway...

I think it's just demographics. The only "large" city here is Baltimore and the only attraction is probably the Inner Harbor and the area surrounding it (as in from the water to a half mile inland) (Also where Otakon takes place). Not a single movie theater there. Outside of that, Baltimore city income is ***, section 8 housing everywhere. A lot of junk theaters with $2 - $8 movies running all the time.
Outside of Baltimore city is a different story, like night and day really. Average income is 3 times higher and the area is much nicer so I guess that's the driving factor here.
I still think $16 per ticket is a bit crazy ;x. Family of 4 is $64. If IMAX, $84. I can think of many better things to do with that money >_>.

Artem is the wayward soul that makes you ponder the meaning of life by constantly reminding us life can suck. But he deals, and so do we. About the same for Savannah, except people are more "AWH!" to her because of a vagina involved.
Dasva is the ex military man (as is Krizz but this doesn't apply to him) who hates the world and plots a way to destroy most of it.
