I've already confirmed Mass Effect/Mass Effect 2. I'll be getting them in the next two hours.

Only Star Wars I've played is Star Wars: Republic Commando.
I never touched Dragon Age. My friend got it but said it got frustrating quickly.

I've yet to hear a serious bad review about the Mass Effects (only bad player reviews I saw were crybabies that whined about everything possible) so I'll go with those. If I like Borderlands, I can't see how I'd hate Mass Effect.

I lol at people who think working on a computer is so epicly hard.

If it doesn't fit, don't put it there. (inb4 that's what she said)

When you start dealing with parts there's obvious exceptions to this rule, although normally it's about right.

Like installing this power supply. Thing has a giant ***, I had to literally JAM it in there.

(dirty)
Mine fit right in. Actually, I don't think I've ever had a power supply not go right in, and I've built several desktops and worked on plenty more.

This is some 650 watt monster (big, not anything special in wattage really). It fit decently in this one compared to my old compaq, but the cords are so big and I have so many I took out my dvd-rom and store all the extra cable in the empty bays. xD
Cord problem, eh?

I got this power supply to counter that problem: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?Sku=ULT40122

Well Borderlands and Mass Effect have nothing in common. Mass Effect is an RPG with guns, Borderlands is an FPS with RPG elements. Big difference.

I've seen my friend play Mass Effect 2 on campus. It looks like winsauce.

I compared the two since they're still both shooters with characters you develop/customize. I also saw some gameplay videos. Every game that I've liked the gameplay video for and purchased, I love. I know I'll be satisfied.

Wait what's the difference?

(And while I wait, I'm going to google it for some screenshots)

Ent, you hold him down, I'll commence beating him about the face with a KOTOR case.

How dare you keep on living without having played kotor!

That's actually exactly what I need. lol

How much did that run you?
Quote:
Net Product: $79.99
Sales Tax: $0.00
P & H: $29.87
Total Shipment: $109.86
The shipping was 2-day or overnight since I needed it ASAP. Base unit was $80. This was back in 2008 though so not sure what a newer one will cost, but shouldn't be much difference.

In no way am I saying you should not buy either Mass Effect or Mass Effect 2. Some of my favorite RPGs in recent memory. I'm just saying, you can't expect it to be like Borderlands, the emphasis is on story and characters rather than blowing everything up.

Well, I sort of answered that in my response to Haseyo, but to be more specific, ME2 is plot-based, whereas Borderlands is flashy effects-based. That's not to say ME2 doesn't have flashy effects, though!

Oh I realize they're totally different, but the concept of being an "RPG shooter" is somewhat the same. I know that Mass Effect has a heavier story and ***. I'm excited!

Also having NPCs is cool. I don't know if I can command them like Brothers in Arms or Ghost Recon (to help flank and stuff) but either way, not having all guns pointing at me is pretty neat. :s

But it's not a plot in an RPG sense. It can be summed up in about one sentence, whereas Mass Effect has almost as much depth as Star Wars.

Oh trust me, the story is poo, lmao. You forget the whole reason why you're killing things half the time. The emphasis is killing. There are like NO cutscenes. Just kill kill kill.

You can direct them to move to locations, follow you, or go on the offensive, and you can also command them to use any Tech Powers or Biotics where/when they're needed.
