My list so far. 1. Left work 2. didn't bring rain boots. 3. didn't bring a jacket. 4. lots and lots of rain. 5. came home and looked like i've just steped out of the shower. 6. realised I now need a new cellphone. 7. my tobaco made it luckily, although the box looks like porage.
"Gummistövlar? - Nej Jacka? - Nej Blöt? - Ja Tack gud. Tack," You want to tell me what the f*** that was?!

Its porridge. Actually.
The commercial made me laugh so hard.

"Then try to bust each other's baaaaaaalls."

5 hours into FF13 now. Still not a clue why they designed such an overcomplicated piece of ***for a battle system, and getting pissed off with the stupid rule where it's game over if the leader alone gets KO. Seriously the pace of the battles are so hectic and there are so many numbers flying about there is no time to actually read what moves and abilities actually do, it's just a mess. Story is not bad so far though and the characterisation is very impressive, probably the only impressive feat so far besides the number of cutscenes.

Oh that brings me to my next point. I don't want to go through a cutscene, then, literally walk 5 steps and go straight into another. I mean COME ON what the hell was the point in breaking it up to walk 5 steps Q.Q

Probably! I'm trying so hard to like it but so far it's not working >_>. I still can't bring myself to accept they changed so much from the games I grew up obsessing about. I mean what was wrong with turn based battles and scrolling screens and random battles! These are elements that made FF the success it was, then they go and decide to completely turn it into a pile of weak kiddy adventure.

Because RPG's are becoming more fast paced and turn-based is slow NES/Playstation ***. The competition is changing their combat systems and SE is keeping up.

Turn-based or gtfo. I happen to enjoy watching epic spell/attack animations.

Edit: That's one thing I like about FFXI more than WoW. The spells and abilities feel more powerful due to actually having an animation worth a damn. Other than a few select spells (rain of fire for example) all wow spells feel basically the same.

I still think FFX-2's system is almost perfect. Just needs Limit Breaks/Overdrives.

That's weird, I consider FFXI's animations lacking. They used an outdated (It was even outdated at the time) system where all animations and lag correction were hosted serverside, which meant anything you saw happening was actually about 2 seconds sooner than it was happening ingame.

FFXIV is doing that differently, they're hosting animations clientside so it will feel more like Aion, and less like it's designed to create less lag.

Yeah they lag, but when you do a guillotine, you don't just swing your scythe again. In WoW, all melee abilities are basically just a single, normal attack swing.

I haven't played WoW or seen any videos of it, but my point was FFXIV is doing a massive improvement as far as animations go. FFXI was limited by PS2. FFXIV will actually have a Meteor that looks like it will hurt a bit more than just throwing a rock at an enemy.

I liked how they brought back the job system, and how spells were learned. If it had a better story, better music, and a world map/airship, it woulda been great >.>

This is what made FF8 great, if you ask me. Everyone hated that game but I loved the fact that they had so many hidden areas scattered around that you never had to go to, but were fun to explore nonetheless.

Edit: And no I'm not biased by my FF8 avatar.

Not really, how does speeding up the tempo of a battle system make it any better? The only thing SE have accomplished by changing /advance gameplay? Final Fantasy is defined by random battles and turned based fighting, and by changing it they have just pushed away many loyal players of the series.
