There honestly is not a lot of these situations, most of which you would just be /rdm and not TPing anyway(Making Joyeuse useless to start), maybe not even have an option to shield block making IR lance better, Haute is horribly situational, but its good in the situations it is used.(But Burtgang is better :P)

It's a nice "SITUATIONAL" piece. Coming from someone who doesn't consider Terra's Staff a viable option for a -PDT set, your credibility is long out the window. It's nice for situational purposes, of course, but those situations are limited to holding an NM while waiting for people to show up, and on rare occasions, when you can potentially be one-shotted. For the former, it is worth keeping around. For the latter, Earth Staff would be better.
You can't argue things like Atonement spam aren't worth it. In the current state of FFXI, people are regretting wasting time on Burtgang because Justice Sword or Joyeuse are just plain better.
So yes. Hauteclaire is useful for a few things. But in every situation where it's good, Burtgang is better, and Joyeuse is almost always better than Burtgang.

I wouldn't use terra staff on pld 99% of the time I'm having it not melee just for the fact that shield blocks overall generally prevent more dmg and help get Ichi off. Not to mention free tp which since you aren't melee is kinda at a premium. So still being able to throw out atonements every several minutes lol

I understand that per-person skill has been on a steep decline in the past few months, overall. And I realize it's futile for me to try to change that. I played for 5 years regardless, I know what I'm talking about.

Artem is the wayward soul that makes you ponder the meaning of life by constantly reminding us life can suck. But he deals, and so do we. About the same for Savannah, except people are more "AWH!" to her because of a vagina involved.
Dasva is the ex military man (as is Krizz but this doesn't apply to him) who hates the world and plots a way to destroy most of it.
