I mean it's not like anyone who it's happened to was able to tell everyone they died in there dreams.
My dreams tend to include lots of flowers and things. ^^ I just love blooming plant life.
iirc dying in a dream just means you feel trapped with the demands of every day life
Shiva.Flionheart said: iirc dying in a dream just means you feel trapped with the demands of every day life I'd really like a shrink to try and analyze my dreams of events that actually end up happening the next day. And no not just vague crap that would happen anyways. To the minute often since I love to check time so much lol. Or the ones where I'm chased by a giant rat version of chuk E cheese in a giant rl version of chutes and ladders mixed with traps I set for him I think there is some psychological merit to dreams, but it is looser than what is made out. For example when I was really stressed over exams I would often dream about being chased, when the exams were over and I wasn't stressed I didn't have it once.
I've ever had an exam induced dream once. Was weird. Like I was going over the material the night before but I was too sick so I stopped half way thru. Go to bed and dream of continuing from where I left off in detail of all my notes.
Go in early next and sure enough I dreamed exactly what was in my notes and I remembered it even better than the stuff I had studied irl before I went to bed. Granted I was feeling really shitty and my studying was really more like going thru notes to make sure I remember everything but still it was freaky I think Freud was just projecting a little too much
Hummm.. :3 I need to get potting soil and moar plants. :D Gonna start up a container garden!
Actually gave none religion/drugs answer if you read it.
The heart of it is my believes most closely align with http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Determinism. As such everything and anything can be predicted. I also believe the human mind capable of doing this on small scales and one day way way down the line computers to. Though for now computers can nowhere near come to our level of intuition and fuzzy logic. Unfortunately we can't really control and focus it so well. I mean it's pretty obvious really. Look how easily alot of people can determine the weather. Yet to do it with machines we need to take readings of things that no way a human can sense or have acess to and do billions of computations and ***. Look how much harder it is to mathematicall figure out trajectory then eyeballing it like any kid can do lol is it ok to be scared if in seattle a police officer beat someone for being mexican lol D: /panic
Garuda.Mabrook said: That's not an explination :/ that's an excuse saying I basically don't know either lol. I said exactly what I beleive it is. Just people using the info they have on hand but often aren't completely aware of and processing and coming up with answers that again they often aren't completely aware of. You can call that not an explanation all you want but that's just you not agreeing with my explanation Seraph.Pikachu said: is it ok to be scared if in seattle a police officer beat someone for being mexican lol D: /panic Asura.Bartimaeus said: Reminds me of how a person, you I or anyone, (and this has happened to everyone), wakes up a minute before an alarm clock goes off, just in time to shut it off before the alarm. Garuda.Mabrook said: It's not that I didn't accept your explanation. I mean don't get me wrong I applaud your effort in helping me understand the problem, but it's the same thing I've read over and over again about the subject which is basically an unexplained phenomenon. We can all say what we think it is and end up with the same exact explanation which in the end explains nothing about Deja Vu; except that the human mind does these kinds of things, okay I understand that much, but why? That's all I'm saying. Garuda.Mabrook said: Ramuh.Dasva said: Sounds like the question you are really asking is not the mechanics of how it happens but why it happens? So for a vague general reason why it happens personally I believe most people are at least semi curious. I mean look at our species always wanting to look for something new and poke it and see what happens. As such our brains are constantly taking little bits of all the information coming in most of which you don't ever notice and mixes and matches it and tries to figure stuff out without you ever thinking about it consciously. This is similar to how intuition works. Normally however it just keeps going along plodding and playing its little solve everything game. But occasionally the subconsciously will reach out and say hey I figured out some stuff. Sometimes in the form of vague feelings of knowing something. Sometimes in the form of you preforming actions for reasons you yourself don't even know. Now the big question why does it sometimes do it and sometimes not? And more importantly is it possible to make it do more? I beleive that it's somewhat based on the person. That the subconscious is vaguely controlled by your wants and desires. So you will be more in tune with things that interest you and such. Of course controlling and directing such is no easy task at all. Also it is my belief that like intuition it is highly influenced by your own abilities. You can make leaps in logic and come to the right answer but you can only leap so far and logically thinking is the still the base. Alot of this I've really come to from watching and seeing myself and my dad act/react to situations before they happen. Or just know stuff. And came to the whole determinism thought from that. Though finding a name for it recently was nice On a different note I think I've come up with a cool new way to aga solo. Gather mobs with full genie or NQ gear set on sleep them until all cursed. When they uncurse they are at like 89% hp lol
I think we close off our minds to ourself as much as to other people or more. Your brain and body are amazing. Learn to listen to them they will tell you things just like other listening to other people. Albeit other people are generally easier to understand and will actually answer questions when asked lol. You just have to listen
Perhaps one day we will be able to just understand and accept anything |
