he has burst into flames a few times... testing the envelope glitter bomb.... but it took him an awfully long time to get back up afterwards... it was a lot more "gingerly transported to the intensive care unit" than majestically or powerfully "arise from the ashes" type deal.
why? is there a market for phoenixs that we aren't curently exploiting?

I had to fix my boss' computer and got curious...the images still haunt me.
and even now every once in a while he will catch me looking at him a certain way... when the memories come flooding back. he's all Nik!!! take a look at this on my computer and I'm all /shudder
let's just reformat the hard drive and start over...it's better for everyone

Got a reply to my support ticket, since the system they use has a "mark as solved" button I used it thinking it was just to help close their damn tickets and put notes into it.
Ended up getting another response because I basically said "Saw no actual support intervention, but they said they did something!"
Their response?
"Well there actually wasn't any support intervention, we just stumbled into an already working server."
... Welp, at least I know 100% now that I did it.

I don't remember row saying anything that could be construed as controversial in any way... so I never understood the scorched earth policy except that I would probably do the same thing just in case.
