8 is always an interesting one. People love it or have vitriolic feelings towards it.

When I worked on XII people would get into heated arguments about 8. I always would just say "well you go to moon that's kind of cool, though 4 did it first. I think Skies of Arcadia was better."

Mentioning Skies tended to diffuse a lot of the tension.

As admin of a FF website for 10 years I've noticed that 8 is heavily more liked by female players on average.

Squall apparently has been many girl's first fantasy-crush.

All characters in FF8 are messed up in the head.
Knew a guy who wrote an indepth psychological analysis on all the ff8 charas.

I can agree to this.

this girl who i went to school with, was in love with 8, and would make ff8 squall x rinoa drawings, buy squall x rinoa doujins and would often compare the pairing to herself and her crush.

Didn't people who used GFs in 8 lose parts of their memory from overuse?

If we count the MMOs, then XI takes the top spot. XIV 1.0 is between 8 and 10, and ARR is between 12 and 10.

If we count MMOs XI is second behind IX for me right now.

At my better moments with XI I guess it's on top, but I have a hard time even thinking about playing it right now without getting a headache and wanting a handle of shots.

XI was when characters started to get "pretty" in video games.

That is, not just being blocky quasi-human shaped.

Luckily IX went with classical styling before "realism" took hold for good.

I dunno. He told me he wrote it somewhere online, but we discussed it directly between us, so I never asked a link to go to.

Pity, I'd like to see it too.

Quistis definitely has the "hot teacher foolishly trying to sleep with students" pathology covered.

not agreeing with the context of what you quoted. I personally knew at least 10 female friends who started ff8 (or even playing games at all) after seeing him on my TV, their crushes were real.

I hope 16 (if they make one) is more 4/5/6/9 than anything else, moogles/magic/castles/steampunk or magitek technology/jobs but maybe with a system like 12 (I really enjoyed it, action RPG-y if you want, full control if you want)

Bringing back hunts and rare game as well as hidden areas hinted by npcs with a real superboss

Really miss having a medieval period game

Haven't talked to him ever since msn blew up like one year ago or such. I had fun with him cause I had lots of fun intellectual conversations with him, something that I can't seem to obtain out of anyone.
He's a teacher too, maybe that helped. I enjoy learning.

I forgot. I'm sorry, bear-fella.

...still doesn't excuse Seha. She's Italian. She knows what color tomato sauce is! That's all ketchup is, basically. Tomato paste, sugar, and vinegar!

Err. Okay? Not really making sense to me.

It's when characters started to look realistic, therefore it fit with the time frame on emo guys being all the rage and Seha's statement playing out?

I was just saying luckily IX didn't maintain that trend despite the success of attracting fangirls with the look.

The same brand that makes ketchup makes a bunch of(awful)sauces here, so the bottles are all the same with slightly different colour. Just seemed like that typical bottle.

I once tried a hopeful "bbq sauce", man did it ruin my mithra meatkabob.

I'm buying a PS4 for 15 but I'm waiting for the price to go down, it's still over 400 dollars here

From what I've seen it looks like it'll be a lot of fun but I'm trying not to get hyped (or disappointed) in advance, that's never good. It's about time though, I bought a damn PS3 for Versus XIII when it was announced

Absolutely this for me.

Another loosely-steampunk game like 9 or 12 would be money.

It usually is not worth the effort on this page for profounded discussions when everyone asks for a tl:dr whenever something is longer than a shopping note.

Ah, gotcha.

Yeah, Heinz's worldwide offerings are pretty varied and...questionable.

"Salad cream" is a big thing in Britain for Heinz. The stuff is heinous.
