I like the idea of that trivia thing I just doubt I'd ever really be a part of it... Not enough time to do it during work and I don't ever sign back on here after 5...

I was actually wondering if Scragg would be okay with possibly letting on a second trivia game moderator (or however we're doing that), since some Fridays I do have a tendency to pop out for special occasion weekends like last Friday. Labor Day Weekend is around the bend, too.

I was thinking:

Kara, if she were interested, her due date is creeping up though.

Ravael, since he was interested in having a game. Even though he usually gets into tussles in P&R he's usually good-natured and rolls with the punches when people get too intense in there.

Mos? Because Mos.

IDK. I might be jumping ahead a little.

I'm writing it such that "hosting ability" is a flag settable by any moderator. Mods/Admins have it by default obviously, and I'll probably give it to VIPs as well, though I don't know how many of them would even care. But anyone can have the flag turned on if they bribe the right mod.

I have to add a couple of extra flags to users anyway, so this seemed like the cleanest and fastest way to do it, just add them all at once.

Yeah, they just try and sell you on it.

Adjusters do the denying.

Traveling for work: not as much fun as it sounds.
I've gotten lucky a few times and swung it into a weekend thing. Very few of my meetings take place in that formal of a setting anyways. the biggest bummer is that I usually end up there by myself with no one I know in that area.
He's been able to do that on some trips but Stockholm is so close to us that his trips don't last very long. 24-72 hours.

Also he tends to put in more hours while working abroad then at home. He's usually been sent there to go test or fix a product/equipment, or go over and finalize documents with the customers, or a combo of the above. So, usually lots of work to do after he gets back to the hotel as there is a very finite deadline. Which means any sight-seeing after business hours doesn't usually happen.

I would love to, but I'm not sure how often I will be on the next few months. 36 weeks today

We also found out yesterday the baby is still in a transverse position so tomorrow I will have an in-depth ultrasound and then probably manual manipulation of the baby to get him situated the right way. Hopefully that goes well and I won't be one of the 1% that has an emergency CS. /crossesfingers

Kind of why we would leave it to one day. Having teams, rather than playing individually, would allow people to come and go based on convenience.

Oh no! Did you have to have the sweetgirl manually turned? Nothing prepares you for that. I was wondering what the potential was that you might have a rough time this round seeing as though your first birth was somewhat problematic. I didn't want to mention it in case you might be anxious.

/fingerscrossed

Yeah, I'm not sure how often I'll be in for tail-end of November and December.

She turned on her own. Down at an odd angle which caused all the problems during and after labor, but in the correct position. Which is what I hoped he would do (correct position, not odd angle), but not yet.

Mostly I'm really looking foward to after labor and never being pregnant again!! :p

Third trimester is definitly harder when you have an active child already versus no children. Which sounds really obvious but eh. Your son will be almost 3 in November?

How painful was it for you?

Yes, but he will be watching our daughter. She's been on vacation so she will be with us...outside the room when the manual manipulation happens.

She was breech?

Me too! Summer has to be the worst timing for second and third trimesters.

Nearly. He'll be three in February.

The manual perforation was done somewhat spontaneously during a check-up since he was being stubborn and my OB is adamantly opposed to potocin (sp?) induction. It took my by surprise, it was uncomfortable for that five minutes period and no anesthetic for that. When you hop up, your legs are a bit wobbly and unbalanced. Maybe it's not that much of a shock to your nerves if you've already had a kid?

I was on cloud nine while they turned him during labor, so pressure but numb. I can't really gauge that.

GAH!

One of the college buddies' wives waxed poetic about the ease of everything about her first birth when we were collectively swapping war stories.

I minded my P's and Q's and quelled this reaction...

when shane was born my wife's friend was there, & another friend was coincidentally one of the nurses. my wife was complaining about something, to which the friend replied with "O come on, I've had 4 kids, it's simple, ect, ect." The nurse friend turned to the first one and said "well abby your vagina is HUGE." I almost died laughing.

Nope. She just came down the birth canal at a very odd angle, which caused her to scrape me inside causing an internal hematoma.

Yeah, I'm glad our heat wave lasted four days and then went away. I hope you are managing to stay cool. It's amazing how uncomfortable and irritable warm weather while pregnant can be.

Good luck in August. Seems the south has been very hot so far this summer.

Ah, ok. That seems better occuring during labor. Although I guess it would depend on how far apart your contractions are, how annoying that could be. Since I imagine they have to try turning between contractions.

Hmm, I used 2 doses of the drug for inducement since my water broke early last time. I wasn't a big fan of it because I ended up with double contractions (between 2-5 minutes for most of labor). After the second dose I did some walking around the hospital and that seemed to help quite a bit.

This time if water breaks with no dilation I think I'll try more physical activity for a few hours before accepting the inducement drug.

Fried fish or shrimp (or in some cases, alligator or other similar meats) on a hoagie roll with lettuce, remoulade and Louisiana hot sauce (or whichever you prefer).

I'd have a hard time fighting the urge to tell ramy he was wrong on something he was right on, & hoping he bashed something in his office out of rage.

I say that if there is any work at all involved we grant the privilege to Rooks. He deserves it more than anyone.

He can build it, run it, find people to play it when we all forget about it, keep it going for years after everyone gets sick of it/forgets about it, finally close it down in disgust, and then most importantly, lose all of the notes he has on how he did it the first time....

then we'l be ready to play it and bother him to start it over from scratch.
