(Actually I had to first look up what their first album even was, then look up when it came out). I was 15. I think I was twelve, IIRC. I forgot which month they came out. 38 isn't old anyway. I still look fairly young (I think!), and my life and health are pretty good, so I can't really complain about decrepitude coming my way.
But every so often there's a nice reminder that I've been on Earth a long, long time, like full grown adults talking about listening to the Spice Girls in middle school. Well, we could talk about where we were during 9/11. Somber, but it would weed out the really young ones. Let's not. Lakshmi.Rooks said: » 38 isn't old anyway. Coming up on 38. I was a sophomore in college when the Spice Girls descended. My problem was that when I was 15 I was hanging out with people your age at the time (18-20). Which, looking back on it, probably not the most appropriate thing. Definitely learned some concepts maybe a bit too early. Anna Ruthven said: » Lakshmi.Rooks said: » 38 isn't old anyway. She was more or less always what she is, minus the crazy-with-no-hair stage. Airbrushing, one of the greatest social crimes of our time. i remember watching DBZ as a kid.
stupid network would just run the stupid saiyan saga (not the raditz) and all the way till after Goku fights Ginjiu Force. then it would just restart all over again. later, I a spanish tv station started running DBZ, unedited and I watched ALL of DBZ :D same for Sailor moon, and lots of eps of Ranma 1/2 FYI, last season of Sailor moon contains partial nudity, tho they have no nipples. Edit: Sorry, got caught up basking in the glow of being compared to a literary hero. No, it's okay. We don't need to put Mrs. McFeely through that tonight. She suffers enough dealing with me. Nik, where is the flammable glitter bomb?

Yeah, one of my guilty pleasure watches is 'Dance Moms'. I get so giddy about watching the girls. It gives me the warm fuzzies, but I hate, HATE, HATE the moms and the owner of the studio on there. I might be better off with boys, unless I get too enthusiastic about soccer if he/(they?) end up wanting to do that. When watching that, sometimes I wonder if I would get a little too into with a girl. Not that crazy, but I don't know as of now. I might have to keep myself in check. I don't know yet. I am really pumped when I watch my nephew during soccer and tee-ball (more recently baseball). I don't know where it comes from. What I do know is, I'm not going to drill, "SCHOLARSHIP BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY!!!" into my kids' heads beginning in middle school. Both my brother and I fell into our respective "*** this ***!" phases after being really neurotic over disappointing our parents. MOST UNDUTIFUL SON/DAUGHTER!!! It was decided a long time ago that grandma chanti and grandpa omael are the oldest...it's hard to verify because they were both born before birth certificates...
