Just remember to budget correspondingly for tools/other equipment, above and beyond your other expenses.
I was somewhat spoiled by having ready access to workshops/tools/equipment, and have had to slowly put together a collection since moving.

socket set/driver
power drill
drills, various
power screwdriver + bit set
hand screwdriver(s)
ax
hatchet
hook knife
lopping shears
garden shears
lawn mower
weed trimmer/edger
rake
hoe
hedge clipper
wheelbarrow
pressure washer, + various attachments
paint brushes, various

Make sure to do a "junk" purge before moving. It's a reinvigorating sensation after getting a good look at how much crap you actually own while boxing.

Well, it will be 18 months or so before we actually move, probably 6-8 before we start looking and consider acquiring the loan and putting in bids.
As for the devices and tools, I own most of those already. I don't own lawncare stuff as I do no lawn maintenance (one of my favorite perks of renting) but I grew up in a very do-it-yourself type family, so I've got plenty of tools and househould maintenance items.
