I think one of the most unnerving, persistent yammerings on here is that applying sympathy/empathy is a weakness or for the weak-minded.
Sadly it's far from limited just to this site's contributors.
Sadder still is I can, in a way, see why people think that way. I can, in bit of an ironic twist, empathize with the mindset. As it's one I find myself taking on my worse days.
I guess what I'm kind of getting at is there are others like that I'm sure, and they see people who express sympathy as weak. Idiots. Emotions are part of being human. Without any sympathy, this would be a cruel, cold, dark world we live in.
Why the hell am I still rambling? I don't even know what I'm talking about anymore lol.
Unrelated: Bought some stuffed clams last night. They were awesome. Had some rice pudding with it. I love rice pudding. Also bought some wine... One bottle and one cheap box, both chardonnay. I want to do a taste comparison. It's for science... don't judge me.

Making an awfully big assumping as you've never seen me encounter an actual adversity. You've seen me post on an anonymous internet forum.
I admittedly use this forum in a -- probably inappropriate -- bit of release to go ahead and vent on topics...because I am the person "taking care" of things on a daily basis.
Even if you look at work; it's part of the reason I have time to post here daily beacuse my work gets done -- and well -- in spite of adversity or curves thrown.
Rage about the little things you can't control when it doesn't matter. Like here on this forum. Get pissed about Nausi being a bigot or Aman or Savael being a cockwit about the way they treat other people. I don't know them, I'll never meet them, I'll give them ***if I think they deserve it because they're being cockholes. Blow off the steam in an otherwise unimportant situation.
And stay the *** in control when you have to.
