I saw Bard and Scholar.

Think we talked at one point about your Black Mage but I never saw it.

I'm actually super surprised my mind even allocated jobs to people I've never seen play the game. ._.

Venting the lint into a closed space like that, yes.
Also, venting hot humid air into the attic is a bad idea in general.

Most dryer vents are fire hazards anyway, either being too long and twisted up limiting their flow or not being removed and cleaned on a regular basis. That will also help extend the life of your dryer.

My assumption is that the vent goes through the attic and exhausts outside. I suppose this would make replacement of the venting system easier, and depending on where the dryer is it could be the best route. I dunno, I'm certainly not anywhere near an expert.

Anyway, as Mosin and Mil confirmed, should definitely check on that Zah.

I cleaned mine out a little bit recently, but now that it's getting warmer out I want to really get that sucker clean.

dryer venting into the attic

wait, what?

it isn't terminating in there, is it? if you don't know, find out tonight.

The dryer hook-up is on an interior wall (yes, strange), the vent routes to an exterior wall doing an "L" shape in the attic. When the inspector looked at the house, he mentioned it, but said it's fine since it's on dispersing into the attic itself. He said that would be cause for concern.

I'm wondering if there might be a leak now since there had to be a little condensation for it to chip and flake.

I don't know what they were thinking in the 70's. I just like the huge windows.

there's some truth to that, but that's a whole other matter, & really nothing in comparison to just terminating all willy-nilly in the attic space.

Oh absolutely, just pointing out that maintaining it is seriously important regardless of where it's terminated.

I also recommend something like this. That way you can more easily clean the lint in the dryer in addition to cleaning out the vent.

I just pick off the lint and Windex the interior. A wet cloth usually gets out the residuals without requiring a vacuum.

EDIT: Well, crap...I think I'm going to send the sweetman in the attic before it gets hot here. :/ Thinking about this too much now.

But what happened?

Was it another ninja attack? Those damn ninjas and their persistence.

basically being put on the spot, AGAIN, between 2 of the managers, who have a personal grudge against each other (remember that near fight a few months ago?)

project comes in, requires specific ***, *** is provided from that other department.
other department calls ***, ***, provides alternatives to my department, department blows off any responsibility on changes, all suggestions would end up with a different end product.
vendor involved, calls BS on all alternatives, forces other department to produce BS, as stated on paperwork.
Inform other department on what needs to be done, person calls BS and goes on a rant this is BS on everyone there, which was... me.

2hrs lost, just to get people to do what was on writing, on the paperwork.
