I was in Bass Pro looking for a holster for a large bore pistol with my brother when all of a sudden he disappears, after I find the one I was looking for, I hear him coming with an employee, he was explaining "My brother has a blah-blah-blah and we need help finding a holster for it." I didn't really, but since he had brought the guy over, I figured I'd ask if they had one in leather. So I start to ask "I-" and he interrupted me with a snooty "Yes, I'm sorry, I'm currently helping this gentleman, you'll have to wait your turn!"
I should've just put the holster down and told my brother I'd get one somewhere else, but I opted to make him feel like a stupid *** instead. I looked at my brother and said "Go ahead, explain the situation." I saw the employee's cheeks turning red and my brother just kinda stumbled and said he didn't know so the guy nervously turns to me and answers my question. Sadly they didn't have leather and I bought the black nylon holster. I kinda hope he tried the same ***with someone a bit louder and more belligerent than I get. Regardless he isn't there anymore and I prefer Cabela's outrageous prices over Bass Pro's outrageous prices.

I remember they had an $800 Buddha perfect for your hellishly overpriced "zen" garden... I would go in there and say obnoxious things like

I've had my run-ins with Academy too, they don't stand behind the stuff they carry or even attempt to assist you if something is defective. Luckily that crossbow was a Horton and they fixed it for free, shipping both ways and all.
Academy does have shitty customer service. I feel like people will glance at customers and run away.
Usually, you'll find some old codger in the fishing section with his recommendations. We renewed our fishing licences (which took FOREVER for some strange reason) bought crab traps there last year before we took off for the coast. Those triangular crab traps are terrible! The hinges broke off one of the traps the first time I pulled it out of the water.
Would I have known, I would have simply hooked squid or chicken on a string and waited for the thumps. It was a bad season anyway. I think the kiddos that were with us were the only ones who got a kick out of it. It was a catch and release year.
EDIT: There was a sneaky turtle lingering around the traps too. I have my suspicions about that turtle.
