I've been back on the patch since I stopped breast-feeding, so NO.

My dad was in the Army Corp of Engineers. This was after his bachelors. IDK what all that requires. He works for Lockheed now, and a friend's dad worked at Bell Helicopter for years after doing the same. Both of our dads will be sitting pretty come retirement.
So freaking morbid, but my dad has been telling me for the last couple of years how much I get when he dies. If that's any indication, you should go that route!
True, but also find it easier to be nice to those who are nice and polite like myself, to the waiting staff. Ask them about their day and junk. So they can open up and be nice to me and in end, if they are good, they get gooder tip.
Oh of course. Bad servers are the ones who can't approach a table without shucking off some other silly instance. I don't like the ones who can't make small-talk either, but I don't really expect it if they're bombarded. That gets stressful.

And Nik, I don't like dining out with my roommates. They are all Viet, and it may be a custom to always drink water at their dining out meals (which it seems to be) but it always makes me feel cheap....

The glass of water thing is customary in almost all of asia.
If you go out, pay, and order a bottle of wine or a pitcher of something for the table. (It's like buying a round of drinks here in the USA)
Edit: those giant beer bottles in japan are also for sharing with friends, they are not just for thirsty alcoholics!
