Football, basketball and baseball are the sports that are the ones that are pretty much everywhere. Soccer is in most and then you have stuff like volleyball, wrestling, and track/cross country that are fairly popular. Then you have stuff like lacrosse and rugby that is usually pretty hard to muster up enough people to play in a lot of areas. Though I'm sure the popularity is higher in other areas.

It mostly depends on school funding. I didn't really play lacrosse until college, and that was just recreational intermurals. Rugby guys are HOT!!! Yum! (Totally superfluous, I know.)

you play hockey at indoor arenas though <.<
and yeah hand-egg sounds good, and nasty enough to describe that boring game with rules I couldnt comprehend if someone shoved a ref down my throat

I had a friend who covered in fear whenever someone kicked a football anywhere near him, and he wanted to be a goalkeeper.

you just have to let him try so he'll realize he cant do it (or if you're lucky he'll surprise you and man up)

a puck in the face hurts like *** hell though, make sure he gets a good helmet

You know I did forget about hockey. That is about as popular as soccer I'd say. Hockey is another one though that for awhile there waned big time here. Even professional hockey was suffereing. Hockey seems to have made a comeback though. Still can't beleive I forgot hockey.

If he wants to try it, why not let him? He'll never know until he tries. It might help him if he's overly sensitive too. You win some, you lose some, you learn to take criticism, and work as a team. That's one of the great things about playing sports in your childhood. He might really end up enjoying it.

It's not ignorance so much as I call it what it is here... If I was out of the states I'd call it what it is there...

LOL! Well, I guess that would have to come first! I'm putting the cart before the horse. We used to play hockey on rollerblades while growing up. I was terrible at it. We had a bunch of kids in my neighborhood. It was great!

you neeed to push him hard, after he falls down 10 times you can consider leaving, atleast then he knows for sure if its something he wants to do or not, skating is not easy to learn, especially not when you're a minitaure human with short legs

I live out in the woods so we dont have flat enough asphalt for that :P

we played football in the summer, my friends dad build goals for us, in the winter we played bandy

I got him rollerblades for his birthday...he had no interest in them at all...

He told me he doesn't want to learn how to rollerblade and play street hockey...he wants to play ice hockey >.>
