Only if she isn't dressed like Aeris
Eternaltriumph said: Would you consider it very bad when you find out you're getting laid, that the Final Fantasy victory music goes off somewhere in your head? D: The FF victory fanfare goes off in my head whenever anything goes right >.> Tousou said: Only if she isn't dressed like Aeris XD No. But one ex I had that played FFXI bought lingerie that looked a lot like Opaline on purpose. That was kinda eerie to me. For the record, I'm talking about this music. @Tou: I'll just say that Spellcast in particular will be incredibly hard to use if loading and unloading plugins is a hassle. A good grasp of the windower console helps a ton, but it's mostly just XML code, so if you understand that you might be somewhat well-off. Spellcast will work with every job for almost any situation you can imagine depending on how complex you want to get with your XML code.
If plugins are crashing, replace your hook.dll with this one provided by the Windower Dev as their new BETA: http://aikar.us.to/Hook.dll Link is here for that file: http://forums.windower.net/topic/14842-windower-3422-rc2-beta-windows-7-compatability/ - Just so you don't think I'm scamming you. lol Also, for concerns with USING plugins, the windower wiki is super helpful: http://www.windower.net/wiki/index My favorite plugins for being useful are: - Cancel (allows you to script cancelling Utsu: Ichi shadows) - Recast - Infobar - Chatmon (allows programmable audio triggers to specific words in chat log) - Expwatch - lightluggage - Silence (crops out "gear change" notices from chat log) - Tickle (times when your MP will tick when resting) - Zonetimer (tracks how long you've been in a zone) - Statustimer (tracks length of statues) - Yarnball (like recast for buffs! Similar to statustimer.) Hope that heeeeelps. I don't have time to get into a discussion on the Windower plugins thing, but
Spellcast is the best thing to happen to me in FFXI since I got my Ridill. No. Really. It's that good. Typing "//c3 e" and having everything automatically equip is soooooo much more preferable than having to hit a macro or, god forbid, "/ma "Cure III" Enternius". Enternius said: Caiyuo said: Paying for AF is friggin awesome. Who wants to farm *** coffers and keys? lol Yeah DNC really lucked out. Head on over to the SCH AF page and see what we had to do to get our AF. >< Dude.. 200k over Free? I'll take the free. I'll check it out after these flies leave me alone. And thank you!
Enternius said: Spellcast is the best thing to happen to me in FFXI since I got my Ridill. Know what I read? Spellcast makes me this. Rydiya said: Dude.. 200k over Free? I'll take the free. Time is money. If I can spend 200k now and do minimal effort, I'll do that rather than spend 7 hours wandering around in the past with true sight mobs dying and losing all my SCH buffer. Ummm did I cause problems that I didn't know about? I'm topping the list for Asura again with respect to most viewed.... ;>.>

So you have to type the commands instead of hitting like R2 and X? Eternaltriumph said: Know what I read? Spellcast makes me this. Lol wasn't that just posted like 2 pages ago? Nevertheless, that's what I was thinking when I was typing. Tousou said: So you have to type the commands instead of hitting like R2 and X? Oh, no you don't have to. You can make it a macro too, obviously, just throw a //c3 <t> in the macro, even that is easier to do than normal macro scripting. Yeah, I sent it to Cai earlier in a MSN message, then he lol'd and posted it on the thread. Then Kyri used it later on to exert her glee upon getting crimson body armor. It's still valid!
Caiyuo said: Pfff, 200k is honestly like nothing if you get a steady stream of income coming in. I don't think I've ever seriously farmed aside from playing in Boyhada with globbuez. I made 2.3M last night just sitting around doing basically nothing. Gotta <3 TH4 and 3 Angel Skin drops in a row. Yeah, 200k > 7 hours. Enternius said: Rydiya said: Dude.. 200k over Free? I only died once doing SCH AF, that was on the one near some Djinns. Spellcast has made the delicate balance between swords and staves on my BLU perfectly balanced in a way that would literally be impossible with Windower Scripts and most definitely with XI's own macros. lol Setting specific triggers based on MP percentages or hard values, weather, action status, currently active or not active buffs ..well that's just *** bonkers, hokay.

It's awwwwesome for BLM and SCH also, Uggalepih Pendant+Obis, perfectly scripted without having to do anything. Also, gotta love the auto-unequipping Dusk gear when you're not in battle and stuff like that. Enternius said: Oh, no you don't have to. So for simplicity, I could just add a second / to my macroes and take out the equipment swaps? Cool...as..Hell Once this session is over, I'll check the links and learn how to do this XML stuff Yeah, they're really good. Not gonna l;ie, I'd abuse them if I was on PC and could figure them out. Three years wearing Dusk Gloves and I still catch myself running in them. And I still forget to swap in Ugly pendant sometimes. :/

Cool...as..Hell Once this session is over, I'll check the links and learn how to do this XML stuff Well there's that, yes but you can also program aliases into the system also, so like instead of having to type "/ma "Utsusemi: Ichi" Enternius" you can just type "//ichi" or //1 or something, and it would automatically equip any gear you want for Utsusemi. Bartimaeus said: For me.. personally.. part of playing XI is that really stupid tedious stuff they make you do. Like having to unequip gear for specific times yourself..etc.. Personal preference of course, I just think spellcast is that one step too far.. /shrug I do agree that Spellcast really simplifies everything, but then again what windower plugin doesn't? Off-subject, but apparently it's been almost a month since a Parrying Torque's been on Gilgamesh's AH... SOAB

I don't apply it to every job, because some things don't require that level of complexity, but for mages it's a god send. |
