See, and those fake scenes just make me scoff. Like the anime sequence in Kill Bill was just so ridiculous I couldn't stop laughing. A bullet in the face = head exploding like a balloon full of blood? I just can't buy that. Although you are right in that respect. That kind of stuff reminds me how fake it all is.
Oh, guys, if only they'd keep true to the comics (at least in some parts), there'd be so much cooler stuff in The Walking Dead! I know they'd never do it for a television show though.

Well, I don't want to say much incase I spoil anything, but yes, they follow the main plot line at least.

I haven't seen the 3rd one, heard it was good. Saw the remake of The Thing, pretty decent (not scary), I like how they kinda took it from a different angle. Was kinda hoping it would be like a secret prequel. About to watch the Kurt Russell version right now. :x

The Kurt Russel one wins hands down If you ask me. I have nostalgic attachment with that one though.
I did wonder the same. I don't know. It didn't look like the corpses in the car were eaten to me, but the car seat nixed that notion.
I have the same reaction to any movie with children. The scene where they line up the Italian townspeople in front of a firing squad in 'Miracle at Saint Anna' makes me cringe too. The baby stops crying then I end up balling my eyes out.

Paranormal Activity was alright. The sequel on the other hand :/ was just a rehatch of the first. It used all the same gimmicks.
Personally, I find movies with evil kids to be the creepiest. The Village of the Damned was on a couple nights ago which is another movie that used to really scare me.

In an interview after the premier episode this season, the creator said that he didn't want to completely follow the comic so people would still be surprised.

@Spence; Ah, I thought about looking up the comics (wouldn't read until after the tv series or try not to pass) but no clue on the order of them? I mean they have, what, like 6 books and 15 volumes?
Zahrah; the Kirsty Alley one. From 1995. I understand why the creator would do that, but there's stuff in the comic that I just can't imagine them putting on TV.
