I had this similar issue with my Xbox. I still somewhat do, but it's been working okay for the last few days.
First, test other Xbox games. If it's doing the same thing (saying Open Tray) then your laser is getting weak. Sometimes it'll take me 10+ restarts to get a game working. I usually leave my Xbox alone for a day or two, then come back and it'll work.
The only way around this is getting your laser fixed. I'd only do this via turning it in to Microsoft. Any other place may open it and fix it, but might tamper with other stuff, violating ToS and getting your Xbox bricked, like the guy in the other thread.
It read all other games, that was the weird part, but I wouldn't put it past it to say the laser is getting weak. If not weak, probably dusty or something. Too bad they want $120 to fix it. -.- Too bad I'm doing the worst thing in this situation, leaving it on and running XI, but I'm afraid if I turn it off, the next time will be the killer. :/
Honestly it's just XI disc that burn out. When you run the same disc for the whole day every day it tends to fry them or make it hard for the console to detect them. As far as I know it's common for XI disc to burn out I went through my fair share when I played. When the lazer did go out on my friends he would constantly get some trippy message in with English and Japanese saying wrong format disc in the tray. At that point his console would read no games.
Nope, have three copies of the game thinking that was the problem. Nothing has worked.
Btw, I do thank you all for the suggestions, but I think I'm at the point I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and get a new console. :{
And I want to play on Xbox, not on a PC, so I guess Inb4 PC version is better.
Are those all new disc? Or all 3 old disc that' you've encountered this same problem with? If you're xbox read every game except xi properly it's not the console....
One is the old disc that I've played since I got the console. One is a friend's disc, she played it maybe twice, then it just sat. The third was just ordered from the site, brand spankin' new.

Daj is Ludoggy's gay lover. Not much else is known about this Asuran. Tairo is kinda new, but since is a female and Alyria's lesbian lover, she fit right in real quick.
Celene(F) and Rowland(M) are more of the shyer members, but often say things that are witty, have a good pun and sometimes cause three page discussions. Celene hates when people hit on her. It doesn't stop them from trying.
Krizz is just social and likes to kill time here during work Tbest is about the same, except tends to be a douche to guys and affectionate toward girls.
Alyria is the most social female, gets groped a lot without provoking it by others, and Tairo ends up stabbing people for it. Cai is just a barrel of lols, I might be gay for him. If I wasn't straight.
Not sure about Citag, s/he's new. Kiriyu is just an in-out kinda person. Says one thing every three days that every guy makes a big fuss over. Ludoggy gets really defensive since she's asian and underage (might be 18 now).
