I started Disgaea DS today.
There's SO MANY ITEMS IN THE SHOP i have no bloody idea what to do.
Did the tutorial missions and the first castle battle. I might be able to do it but idk
i also made like 20 new characters >.> bad idea i bet lol

There's always a ton of items in the shop, lol.
I have like 30ish people on my team, but I need to cut them back. Keeping so many people level'd up evenly is a pain in the ***, and although it's nice to have at least one of each job, it sure as hell isn't needed. Just depends on your approach on the situation. There's just so much to do in Disgaea it's ridiculous. It only gets crazier further on.

I figured it'd be hell leveling them up evenly like I usually do in RPGs.
The used game I got, I saw the guy who had it before me got like 400 hours and level 99 alongside the Edna chapter in a save file.

You get plenty of story characters which how powerful abilities on their own. You don't need too many self made characters and you'll eventually want to restart them at level 0 with more powerful stats once you gain enough points.
I'm still learning it lol
The equip and armor in the shop got me tho. I want to read up on it but it didn't come with a book (damn you used game).

And this. As fun as each job is, story characters are simply OP as ***, like most SRPGs.

Technically you can have the stats of a Lv999999999999999999999999 if you keep reincarnating, lol. The game is made for those that enjoy intense grinding. Not even I have gotten past Lv130 because it''s not the only game I enjoy ._.

Pleinair is my favorite since she never talks, yet rapes faces. You can get her in the DS version of the first Disgaea, then in Disgaea 2 (might as well get D2: Dark Hero Days for PSP) / 3 you can get her as well.
She has virtually nothing to do with the stories ever, but she's basically the mascot of the company (also appears in Phantom Brave, etc) so she's always a side-quest/secret to get.
