and during the whole "calm before the storm" set with dosing drugs that don't take effect right away alcohol can work pretty well in regards to transitioning between sobriety to *** up lol.
but that's usually 3-6 shots worth is what i needed for those purposes.
I started smoking pretty regularly when I was 13 and I never cared for the way alcohol mixed with it, so (outside of my freshman year of college) I always put alcohol on the back burner to that.
Nowadays, it's more about keeping healthy and whatnot. Though, the above still applies.

Now he's experimented more than I have, smokes about 5x as much, and downs a pack of cigarettes a day, lol.
