If Microsoft doesn't start improving the quality of released games they'll be done. Look at the exclusives being released for the 360 in the coming year, and now look at the exclusives on the rest of the consoles. Microsoft expect the 360 to last another 3~ years at least with the addition of Kinect and that is an extremely stupid assumption.
The PC gaming scene may be dying in terms of users, but it's not dying in terms of games. For every shitty generic FPS that gets released with mediocre console controls there's a version of it being released on the PC that has more of a competitive scene and mature fan base.
You can hate the PC all you like, but that doesn't change the fact that unless Microsoft actually shape up, and soon people will start leaving. The PS3 is already nearly topping it and having to pay to play online is another nail in the already naily Microsoft coffin. I'm not fanboying 360. I own a PS3 and a 360 both. I think as far as Wii goes the movement thing was cool. for about 10 minutes...beyond that feature wise it doesn't stack up with the other consoles. Also from being on xbox a lot, I see more people buying 360's and getting live than I see deactivating. Not everyone thinks $60 a year is such a horrible thing for reliable servers. Yeah PS3 is free, but when my friend and I both have to reset our PS3's so the servers will stop DCing us long enough to connect in a game of demon souls the game play seriously suffers. And you do realize the only reason PS3 sale rates are increasing so much is because people are finally willing to pay $300 for the system instead of $400-500 that it was.
You're implying all games use the movement gimmick all the time which is false. There's a ton of games on the Wii who use it subtly or not at all. And the motion gaming the Wii has is superior to PSmove and Kinect. And I see a ton more people buying a PS3 in the last year because like I said the 360 games have gone to ***. Have you seen the coming years games? GoW III that's it. Check the PS3 and Wii scene.
And that sounds like issues with you because the PS3 and 360 use similar servers so neither is inferior or superior.

yeah the American game market isn't into RPG games, only kinda RPG's they know about is those BC2:Vietnam RPG's to take out tanks...When I say this I mean the gaming market this includes casuals etc. But it'd funny a lot of people will go home and play 4+ hours of CoD and not call themselves a gamer...lol yeahhh just because it's not 90's Mario/Zelda doesn't make you not a gamer...unfortunately the gaming world isn't what it was 10-15 years ago.

I won't deny PS3 is a better console spec wise. It was also released a year later. But having played on both PS3 and 360 servers PS3 is definitely inferior coming from personal experiences and I know I'm not the only person who say's that. Similar servers maybe but not the same.

And soccer games. Psh no one here plays Football(soccer games) it's all about that Madden NFL American Football and shooters. They are fast paced and simple. You can't just mock America though...I can login to CoD Black Ops and I can guarantee you most of the UK will be a giant white glow of online CoD activity.

Also honestly how many gamers maintain their console and don't run it like mad leave it dusty etc etc. Yeah it coulda been designed better, but it's far from a fail system when you look at the ground it broke at it's time of being made, it's number of active users and the fact that people buy what you claim is a defective piece of crap even after hearing these issues. Hell do you yourself not have one sitting in your house?

*** you, don't even make the "Console is dusty" argument. The 360 has a near 25% fail rate and houses have been dusty for years without consoles constantly breaking. As for replacements, Well if I had a ton of games only for the 360 and no other machine, I'd replace it before buying a new console due to the fact that It'd be cheaper than replacing a ton of games. And yes I have a 360 in my house, that I've completed 2-3 JRPGs on it (also released on the PS3).
The only reason I have a 360 now-a-days is because my dad repaired my old RRod machine.

Just some background for my console purchases.
I got a 360 because I wanted to play oblivion and I didn't really have the greatest PC at the time.
fast forward 6 months, i purchase a backwards compatible PS3 because I wanted to play metal gear solid and was anticipating the ff13 release(this was prior to 360 being announced to have it)
consumers don't buy these systems because they are better or worse, that's just rationalization ***.
they buy them for whatever games they want, they buy them(people that use specs as rationalizations) because for some reason they conditioned themselves to be "that guy".
i don't wanna be that guy, and i pity those who do.
but hell :D

According to stats on Wikipedia, except in Australia where the race is close, and America where 360 has a large lead, PS3 outsells the 360 in most of the world. Total numbers puts 360 slightly ahead. Factor in the fail rate of early 360s and I'd say it's very close. My brother has been through three 360s and one of my neighbors is on his third as well. I am personally afraid of gaming for extensive periods of time because of how quickly my older 360 heats up.
I'm definitely getting a PS3 soon as I don't like the Halo series anymore anyway.

Also from being on xbox a lot, I see more people buying 360's and getting live than I see deactivating. Not everyone thinks $60 a year is such a horrible thing for reliable servers. Yeah PS3 is free, but when my friend and I both have to reset our PS3's so the servers will stop DCing us long enough to connect in a game of demon souls the game play seriously suffers. And you do realize the only reason PS3 sale rates are increasing so much is because people are finally willing to pay $300 for the system instead of $400-500 that it was.
You're implying all games use the movement gimmick all the time which is false. There's a ton of games on the Wii who use it subtly or not at all. And the motion gaming the Wii has is superior to PSmove and Kinect. And I see a ton more people buying a PS3 in the last year because like I said the 360 games have gone to ***. Have you seen the coming years games? GoW III that's it. Check the PS3 and Wii scene.
And that sounds like issues with you because the PS3 and 360 use similar servers so neither is inferior or superior.
And you could attribute the PS3 sales to the lowering of the price, but I could also attribute the majority of 360 sales to the replacement of consoles. The PS3 is a better machine spec wise and now finally game wise. The 360 is a nice machine if you want a cheaper console, but the PS3 is superior in every way.
I won't deny PS3 is a better console spec wise. It was also released a year later. But having played on both PS3 and 360 servers PS3 is definitely inferior coming from personal experiences and I know I'm not the only person who say's that. Similar servers maybe but not the same.
Release time is a moot point. The fact of the matter is whilst Sony are planning the next console release, Microsoft are trying to pass of kinect as a new console and thinking that makes up for the awful fail rate on the 360. How can you call a system that even though it breaks and people know this fail? Clearly they are doing something right if people buy replacements after they break their originals. Also honestly how many gamers maintain their console and don't run it like mad leave it dusty etc etc. Yeah it coulda been designed well, but it's far from a fail system when you look at the ground it broke at it's time of being made, it's number of active users and the fact that people buy what you claim is a defective piece of crap even after hearing these issues. Hell do you yourself not have one sitting in your house?
*** you, don't even make the "Console is dusty" argument. The 360 has a near 25% fail rate and houses have been dusty for years without consoles constantly breaking. As for replacements, Well if I had a ton of games only for the 360 and no other machine, I'd replace it before buying a new console due to the fact that It'd be cheaper than replacing a ton of games. And yes I have a 360 in my house, that I've completed 2-3 JRPGs on it (also released on the PS3).
The only reason I have a 360 now-a-days is because my dad repaired my old RRod machine. You still wanted one at some point and time for various reasons.

I lost my first battle in Valkyria Chronicles last night. I was so close but forgot there was a Lancer and a tank left and they blew up my Welkies =(
