We have to invent teleportation. It's the only way.
I agree. Let's get started. I think we should use an aluminum base to keep it lightweight but still strong. This way you can move the unit to the desired location easier.

We should start with a full unit, and eventually try to get it down to just a pad you step on. While it should run on electricity, it should also have a battery backup or maybe some sort of generator back up. That way if the power goes out, you can still travel.

The computer to enter coordinates will of course need many languages programmed into it. Full keyboard of course, none of this t9 ***that for some reason makes its way onto things other than phones.
How are we going to do the actual teleporting? If we do the whole rearranging particles thing, it could be bad..

How about we make a portal gun instead? That seems a lot easier than teleportation.
The issue with that is you have to see your target, thus limiting it's effectiveness. What we really need to do is create a wormhole, teleport through it, then close the wormhole.
Well, you could think of it as a one time trip. We'd need to make two guns, that way we can have 4 portals. Or more guns to make more portals depending where we need to be... We could eliminate driving or needing to have a car!

Wouldn't a wormhole tear the very fabric of time and space?

My Sperry boating flip flops will last forever(Approximately 1 year per pair) so they seems like a solid $50 investment to me. No lie I rock them 300~330 days a year.
