ugh tooth pain, yeah over the counter stuff ain't gonna help
High doses of caffiene plus stuff like aspirin and/or acetaminophen work awesome in the short term.
About the best you will get otc. Also vitamin M is a good anti-inflamatory so potential useful. Hot/cold packs etc. Topical analegesics. Though it's hard to find anything but gels. Some good old numbing mouth wash so much easier/better though neither generally last that long
For now it seems the only temporary makeshift solution is to brush my teeth and use antiseptic mouthwash. Keeping it clean keeps episodes of pain to a minimum, but they're inevitable and growing more frequent the more I neglect this *** up tooth.
Also if there is anything open that is causing pain I find temporarily increasing it by a bit with something like say salt to help for awhile but kinda numbing it to regular stuff lol. Basically give it something to cry about. Also can help pull moisture and with it possible infectious stuff away
I've asked before, but how's your sleeping pattern with the pain Arte? Jw since I know for a fact the pain will drive you goddamn crazy compounding on itself if you're not getting solid rest.
I'm getting 3-5 hours of sleep a day on average with nightly and daily episodes of nerve pain. Some days are more tolerable and I can get a full night's rest with a long enough threshold into the morning/afternoon. But right now I'm on edge and grinding my teeth just to keep myself from cursing up a storm or hunching over in agony ~_~
Trick is to fight the infection since that's the cause of the pain. I used oral peroxide, then listerine and made sure my mouth was always clean. That and a bunch of percocets too, lol.

Not all that unexpected. Most strong pains will cause pain somewhere else too or something that doesn't seem completely related. Pain especially repeatitive decent lvl pain is a common cause of migraines. Ear and nose and mouth throat blah all connected to some extent. And you are most likely to some extent tensing your facial muscles even if you don't realize it most the time which along with causing general pain along those areas also causes migraines.
Part of the reason botox is actually used for migraine sufferers sometimes. You might want to try consciously trying to completely relax all facial and mouth muscles. Kinda hard to do without practice especially when already in lots of pain but can be rather helpful
