That was their initial idea. Don't ask me, lol! Just like the idea that floated around about dividing California up into 4 states. w00t

you guys already get enough senators damnit!
lol

I'm a register illegal independent. That's right, when I registered to vote they asked me what party I was and I put Independent. I got a letter back saying this was an illegal party.

I only voted for Barack Hussein Obama II because he was black, or at least looked black enough. I thought it would be funny to not only have a non-white president, but one with a middle name of Hussein.

My mom and I were like no way Obama is gonna win, McCain will definitely win. I could care less as long as Bush was gone.

Look at my state of NJ.
Look at the backgrounds of the two people running for Governor.

Hell look at the state of NJ, the most corrupt politicians in the US by far. And now I have to vote for one of two crooks.

Cristie or Corzine? Damn! Might as well ask me if I want to get to penetrated with a wooden stick or a medal one, lol.

Yes they are morons...lol I remember on Gaia-online (gay teen site) in '06 there were a few teen's saying "dont vote for bush again! He's racists to blacks!" and I hear that in rl alot too...too bad nobody knows who Condie rice is o.o

Anyway...it was the bush/cheneys plan to pull out around June...maybe they should be sent back in seeing all the bombings.

Afganistan...besides having a weak central government and tribal system...NATO being Wussies and having these "96 hour" rules in where you gotta turn over detainees over to the Afgans within 96 hours or release them. Besides having to waste a 24 hour+ helicopter ride tooting those guys around...you cant even interrogate them and the afgans are also weak on interrogating.

Freedom to what you want to the extent that you're *** over everyone else in the process, including your own customers? lol It's kind of shocking to see and hear people argue on behalf of insurance companies /while/ they're being *** in the *** for the sake of 'merican freedom. Where is it said that they're going to force private companies to pay for public healthcare? Specifically.

Mentioning "socialism" in any capacity is a joke stirred up by unhappy people who have nothing better to argue upon other than a word that scares people. It may as well be McCarthyism. lol

How are insurance companies *** you over? You honestly think they have no bills to pay? You honestly think that they make a 50% Margin? Think again.

I'm fairly sure that the most ANY insurance company gets is a 5% Margin. Thats not a whole hell of a lot of money every year. Thats barely enough to survive and grow on.

Companies don't get rich just to screw the consummer over. They get rich to thrive and prosper, and grow into a bigger company. The bigger they are, the smaller they grow, until they reach a point of no growth. This is the time in the companies life to try to keep that point stable, and as soon as it is unstable, the company will fall.

Big corporations are actually the biggest donors to all sorts of causes also, they run the biggest charaties, and they support economies in 3rd world countries and help then DEVELOP into 2nd world countries. Take Mexico for example. You honestly think that without the support of corporations that they would be about to be as rich and prosperous as they are? I know they aren't as rich as the USA, but they are a HELL of a lot better now than they were 40 years ago.

Like it or not, you try to take away corporations and all of the sudden, you are looking at life in Africa at home. If you want to live like tribes, go to Kenya, and leave us AMERICANS the *** alone.
k, AMERICAN boy. lol Even with a 5% profit margin, that's quite a *** lot for a multi-billion dollar industry. They run large charities because there are tax exemptions to be made along with looking great in the public eye and being mentioned by said fan-boys on internet forums. lol They're going to pay the money anyway, you may as well make charitable donations to make yourself look better for it.

If their profit margins are small then they're going to try to squeeze every ounce of money they can out of people, including dropping or denying high-risk people. Their costs are also very high because they have to pay the majority of the costs of uninsured people to visit the emergency room. Covering said people would reduce their excess costs, and with this boon if they can't become competitive with a non-profit despite having billions at their disposal, then I think perhaps such a company doesn't deserve to be in business. Being AMERICAN doesn't mean we're expected to fund bad companies for the sake of capitalism. lol

Also, wtf@using the words "rich and prosperous" in the same sentence as Mexico.

"Literate strangers do not talk politics or religion." Too bad the internet ignores the rules of common sense, and you have four people arguing over *** while the rest of the thread waits for you little kids to pipe down, shut the *** up and realize "Owait, PEOPLE HAVE DIIFERENT OPINIONS?!" which, likely, will spark you to get MORE angry that your opinion isn't absolute and all.

So I propose EVERYONE who doesn't give a *** start a new topic here, since this is really, really bothersome to you guys. Dig?

So what? lol Wow, get the *** out. You can distinguish between Iraq and Afghanistan can't you? Damn near everyone agrees that Iraq was a giant mistake done for any number of conspiracy theorist reasons.

If people freaked the *** out about Obama you have only McCain to blame for not putting up a better fight and moderate Republicans for being convinced to vote for a Democrat because you cannot deny this happened in some states. Given his political record and experience as well as serving in the military, which is generally huge for everyone, he should've beat the pants off of Obama. lol If anyone feels americans were "tricked" into voting for Obama, then they're just butthurt their own boy didn't manage to do so instead. lol

Wasn't really a project, I just didn't understand enough politics to know wtf was going on @.@;

It was... actually, not gonna lie, it was kinda bittersweet.

I had the pleasure of having Maple Story girl hanging around me today, mixed signals. That was a bit of a downer >_>

No new girls though, all I see are my academy people and we don't get newcomers often.

They still pay taxes to both the state and the federal government, and still make donations. Tax laws state that there is only SO much you can donate and consider it an exemption. Corporations donate FAR more money than that. Being good to the public eye? Yeah, so what? They are STILL donating money to the needy. You think that Red Cross would be able to save your *** during a flood or tornado if it wasn't for those corporations who donate to them? Way to be picky.

How do you think companies die? Do they ask the government to bail them out? With the exception of the 3 Big Automaker companies, and some of the big banks out there (who, btw, has paid dividends to the GOVERNMENT for having a PROFIT, like they said they would) they don't. They die, thats how capitalism works. Why in the hell did the government actually help the 3 big automakers is beyond me. Probably because they can't afford a whole district going under more than likly.

Look at its history. They thrived. They are not on competing standards as the US, like I said, but they ARE growing in their GNP.
