Did a little updating on the birds section of the BG page. Sadly missing a few pieces of info.

Need speed and size information on a few.
Job Combo on the NM Colibri.
Confirmation on Colibri unlock reqs.
And just an over all review of it.

Well I'll only be taking it to 50 for the NM unlock.

But it sounds like my 99 Tiger PL is going to be busy /heal aggro-ing beastmen and linking the entire zone lol.

Until I can get to 30+ at which time the places I level in all aggro/link anyway.
So I'll probably be able to just waddle through and kill stuff whilst the Tiger cures me as usual.

Oh ffs I just noticed it's a MNK/MNK too :/

Level 20 now.. Yes this is definitely going to be a trial lol.
Just did a critical for 29 against an IT beetle.
Boost-ed a Beak Lunge on an earlier Goblin and it hit for 23 :/
Normal hits are averaging in the low teens.

Wtf stat should I be boosting for this thing? STR like a normal MNK?
And tell me Counterstance is about level 30 please haha..

I almost think this would be quicker just walloping the level -2 bunnies in East Ronfaure for the 500 bonus every 10 mobs lol.

Maybe it's just me, but Sanguiptere seems to have a very high innate MACC+ and Spell Interrupt -.

Even on VT-IT mobs, my spells rarely ever get resisted, and I have yet to be interrupted upon being hit while casting.

I don't have any magic enhancing instincts equipped at all, so... yeah.

Has anyone else noticed this?

I just noticed that it was categorically the worst monster that I had leveled since Mandragora.

That was, until I leveled Apkallu shortly after lol.

Amphitere is FAR from being the worst to level. Just play BLM and go nuke stuff in Buburimu, and you'll be whatever level you want in no time. Mandy also isn't bad, if you play Korrigan and again go nuke happy in Bubu. If you want truly painful, do the Slime, but Apkallu may take the crown.

I dunno, I found Sanguiptere pretty fun. Especially when I discovered it's nearly impossible to interrupt, lol. I feel like maybe it IS impossible to interrupt, because I still haven't been interrupted by a melee hit. I even grabbed 2 mobs and then started casting AM to see if they could stop me, but even crits, and being hit by both, I still got the spell off. Only paralyze or knockback has stopped my casting. I was taking down mobs so fast it was funny. Using -aga II's and pulling with AM. AM did around 1-1.2k, aga II's did about 550-700 a pop. Also I don't use any magic instincts of any kind because most of the magic instincts suck, so all I use is attack, haste, and accuracy.

I will say that its WS are definitely lack luster, but another advantage it has is pulling multiple mobs, lining them up, and using that Bloody Beak move. Absorbs like 500 or so HP from each target. Couple this with the -agas, and things went down fast. I was in Uleguerand Range doing this.

When I purchased the new skin for Colibri from Teyrnon he called it "Toucalibri" however when I changed into it I am called "Tukalibri".
Tukalibri appears to be BRD/THF. It also gained the ability to use the skill "Tropic Tenor"

I've been working on a visual representation of species leveling for my own reference but you're welcome to use them if you want. I've got Beasts, Vermin and Birds done so far. Will be doing others as well so let me know if you'd like them when I finish. Bear in mind they're not "professional" as in I made the tools I have available work for me. They should be correct to my knowledge but if there's a mistake please let me know. Arrows of a certain color within a tree are in the same family, such as leveling a rabbit also shares your onyx rabbit level so they're both that orange color.

Beasts
BirdsVermin
Also any requests on which to start next? Haven't started on a 4th yet.

Edit: Obviously Birds is a work in progress as we find out more. Had started it before much was known but will be updating it eventually.

I know you told me all this stuff but I was just re-reporting the job since on the BG monstrosity/species page it has tukalibri as BRD/nothing currently.

Also I really believe that opening Colibri itself only takes 45 Bat + 45 Bird, but I was not able to confirm for myself.

Added the sub to the BGwiki section. Changed Colbiri unlock req on birds since thats been confirmed if some one confirms bat LV45 unlock as well then I'll change that too.

Still need sizes and speeds for some of them.

Apkallu Instinct III: Def+20, PDT-5%, Converts 1% of physical damage taken to TP Cost: 12

I take back what I said about Apkallu being terrible; it wasn't really that bad once I figured out how to handle its shortcomings. Basically, load up on attack, critical hit/damage and pull 3-5 VT mobs at a time based on what you feel safe to handle and it goes by pretty fast. Counterstance obviously and use Wing Whirl as your choice of attack. Leveling wise, it's a bit slow for Colibri levels due to Feather Tickle, but 70-78 Imps, 78-82 Seaboard Vultures, 82-86 Mayfly in Gusgen Mines, east side map 2, then 86-90 on Donjon Bats in Garlaige Citadel.

Slime truly does take the cake for worst monster to level now. Anyway, here's an idea of what I used for leveling, mix and match accordingly:

Not sure if anyone has corrected this yet, but when I tried to trade 20 of each scrap to unlock the Legendary Manticore (Kirin) at lv50, it only took 20 of my Genbu scraps, none of the other 3 types.

Did it still unlock with just the Genbu? Perhaps it just requires 20 of any one scrap type.

Not sure. It only asked me for 20 Genbu scraps iirc.
