Note the Dirty Desktop folder and yet crap still gets saved and clutters up my desktop.
semi old cause I've cleaned up my desktop slightly but same background cause Ive not found a better one due to lack of trying.

The FFVII mod community thing was pretty cool, I remember having to unpack and repack the files manually, I assume that is all in an automated patch now probably. I really wish someone would get around to patching FFVIII so that hardware rendering could be used without the alpha of all 8bit textures being discarded.
Also the source to my background if anyone cares was a JP magazine cover when Mega Man 9 was announced. I'll post it if anyone cares.
