Arent there huge events planned for XIV? Like that system with monsters so big they have multiple points to attack that will use more than 18 people (since no one uses 36 people for einherjar)..... tho i dont know all the details, theres supposed to be some 24 person fights, but alot is 4-6 man dungeon crawls, my wife and i like to lowman stuff and the things ive heard sound promising

Getting a good deal less than what we were supposed to? Being way behind on ***that shoulda been implemented (summons, REM updates, t3 merits), etc.
I personally don't care, but there's plenty out there for people to be upset with, lol.

I did not say anything about being unhappy, but the value of an update is an opinion, not fact.

You can also get people from cross server to do events so that makes things a lot easier to do larger man stuff.

I just don't get why they still haven't implemented the merits for GEO and RUN at the very least.
So far though the only good I see is the monstrosity thing, which I am excited to see implemented.

Not saying it's a bad thing, but the more people talk about FF14, the more we see the features are identical to WoW.
Lets not pretend WoW didn't take a bunch of ideas off of other MMOs that came before it.

I'll probably go buy one after work, been meaning to buy one for a while now.
When my cousin was in college he refused to go buy us booze (he had a car and we didn't). We proceeded to walk to the local superstore and buy 40 "pool noodles". We spent the rest of the day beating the ***out of each other in front of his apartment (it takes a noodle about 4-5 FULL POWER swings to break over a body part).
Needless to say he was embarrassed as hell but we had 20x more fun than we would have if we just got drunk.

I've never seen that before. Oh man. I'm totally snagging that thing stat.
Who says you can't act like a child at 31?
That would be the Roughcut 2x4 lol. It has 8 total darts and shoots 2 at a time per shot for 4 rounds of double fire back to back. The really cool thing about it though is if you lightly press the trigger it will fire the left side dart, and then press the rest of the way down and it will fire the right side one. It's incredibly accurate too @_@.
Been having a boat load of fun for the past 2-3 days outside but jesus it's hot out and I'm out of shape hahaha. After like 2-3 rounds I have to lay in the grass and drink a billion bottles of water.

why do you think people who quit the game stick around Oddly... Since SoA came out, that's actually somewhat true, bitching about the game isn't that fun, but it's more fun than playing the game...not productive though, as it appears the devs aren't listening.

Hello, Matsui here.
I'd like to make an announcement about the next version update.
We’ve been working extremely hard to fit as much content as possible in the July version update so everyone can enjoy it over summer break, but due to balance adjustments, bug verification, and localization work we will be splitting up the update into two portions, the first taking place on July 9th (Tuesday) and the other taking place the beginning of August.
I apologize to everyone who was looking forward to this.
Below I've written out a comprehensive list of the content that will be implemented during each part.

Up until now we have released year-long roadmaps for FFXI.
We also tried releasing half-year roadmaps as well; however, the further out we write a schedule the less accurate it becomes, and we are only able to let you know about major and limited content.
As a result, many have been disappointed because of schedule changes, it's been difficult to make frequent updates to it, and there are too many cons to having this, so we'll be changing it so we provide something like the current style moving forward where we go over what will be in the version update to come.
