But anyway, I took some screenshots of the "end of phase 3" parade on Excalibur and will post what I can. Though the parade had so many people spamming AOEs that m FPS dropped to 30 rather than 60... Then afterwards it would only go to 50. Curious if I did something wrong with the graphics card, I opened my CPU up... And oh my God. I need a new room to place my sister's pet rabbit in because there was SO MUCH dust in there. And I had just got the thing a month ago.

Enjoy the new FF14 - it will be here sooner than we know. Let's just hope the end game is not as atrocious as FFXI has become lol.

It won't even come close to FFXI, don't worry it will be WoW v2 for you.

I can understand not liking the amount of FFXI bashing from the FFXIV crew, but anyone who honestly thinks that FFXI is not in a BAD place right now is delusional at best.

Does anyone know when Phase 4 starts?

Not yet.. but estimates have it around the 15th. It will be a week long and pre-order access is 5 days before launch. So safe to say it will be then. I am pretty sure I heard that SE wants to jump into early access straight from phase 4 so there will be minimal bug working/maintenance at that point imo.

Sadly right now it's A Realm Aborted: Final Fantasy XI.... Matsui and the gang (his pinky finger) needs to get a move on and do a drastic measure to save FFXI. The small party and solo contents (focusing on exploration) needs to be released NOW and not 8 months later when the game is bleeding out more subscribers.

There STILL has been no official P 4 start date released.

I actually love the humor they're incorporating in FFXIV. I felt like FFXI was taking itself too seriously, and if I can get a game to give me a chuckle now and again, then I'll like them that just more. I can't think of a specific example off the top of my head, but there were a number of things that got a little guffaw out of me.

11 had some popculture references in it that made me laugh too :( They referenced the movie 300 and "All your base are belong to us" and other small things like that that I can't remember but I got screenshots of at one point.

Are you guys having fun and actually able to log in and play the game? This launch has been way too successful for its own good - too many people want to play this game which translate into massive clog in the servers. This game is way too pretty and too beautiful, even on crappy PS3 graphics - and so much fun to play, explore, and just get lost in the world of Eorzea.... Now if only you can actually log and play.

I love how I bought a hard copy so that I could download the client from PSN. They really thought this one through.

I popped it in my CD player, and it just keeps playing this over and over again:

You mean it doesn't actually install from the disc when you select it?

Nope. It installs the login stuff, but at that point it tells me to go to the PSN and put my code in, to which it is now downloading a digital version. Also, it's taking forever, sooooo... there's that.

The game isn't crashing because too many are interested in playing it. The servers are crashing because everyone is trying to log on to the same server. If you really want to play this refurbished game, the JP servers are more than welcoming.
