Its not an expansion. Its a Add-on just like ACP. If you don't like the mini-story,missions and gear then don't buy it. Don't buy the next one thats comming out either.
Personally I like them both.

First off, sorry for the necro bump.

I would like to use Anwig for my cor and mnk. More than not, it will probably be used for WS. Originally, I wanted to go the following augments:

AGI+4 Increases weapon skill damage (+2%)
STR+4 Weapon Skill Accuracy +15

However, I'm having second thoughts, and I was thinking maybe the following augments could be a viable option:

STR+2 Haste +2%
STR+4 Weapon Skill Accuracy +15

Reason for the 2nd option is obviously for the str+6.

All suggestions are welcomed and thanks in advance

That's your best bet for both jobs.

Eh the AGI is useless for MNK as far as WS is concerned. However WS DMG+2% > 2 STR.

Not true in some instances. It depends on your other gear but the accuracy may be overkill in most cases and the attack +5 isn't going to compare to the AGI+4 DMG+2% (For Ranged WS) and DMG+2% for melee WS. In the case that they don't have a lot of accuracy via other gear, it probably would be in their best interest to go with more accuracy then.

While WS dmg+2% may not seem much, if you do the math, a lot of other ***, is going to be a measly 2% or even less

When did I say that? I'm just saying you dismiss 2% as if it's nothing and I'm letting you know many equip upgrades will be around that number or less. Most things in this game are marginal upgrades.

I wasn't saying it's the better option in this case, I'm just saying you're dismissing it as nothing, whne it's actually pretty good in general. For example, 4 str 2% DMG beats matt's cap for gekko

I appreciate the responses thus far. I see what you're getting at Mytoy. I should try to maximize the augments that are available instead of gimping it in trying to make Anwig accessible to both cor and mnk. Now, to choose which route to go.

Since this got necroed, I wanted to ask if there are any particular augments for the headpieces that are indispensable or uniquely awesome for specific jobs in particular.

For example, I would imagine the cure potency in combination with -enmity or fast cast would make a remarkable healing hat that would remain peerless. Does anyone else have an ideal augment combination per job?

WS acc +25 is pretty awesome for multi-hits. Frees up a lot of other slots. Of course I used it on a Champ's Gaelea and don't have a job that can use it yet..

DNC - Waltz recast, pair it with whatever. Far exceeds Etoile Tiara for utility value, can't recommend it enough.

After playing around with both pieces I have found the awning salade to be a very decent WS macro piece , and the homam zucchetto to be the best tp piece for blu .
IMO it's better than a Walahra Turban because homam head and feet give you haste +6%
Hp & Mp + 53 acc +10 and magic acc +4 witch is very handy for landing spells .
