CNN all day has been connecting without connecting but connecting irrelevant things about this bombing. I wouldnt put it past them to suggest without suggesting this man is the suspect/bomber we've all been looking for information about. FOX has been doing this as well. i'm more paranoid than most people (hell look at my avatar) but even i can't connect this to the gov't and their assault on 2nd amendment rights. idk what the reporter who asked that was smoking. IF you're going to make a connection like that it'd more likely be an assault on the 4th than the 2nd. i find it way more likely that this was some *** with an axe to grind (either foreign or domestic) and attacked a highly publicized event on a somewhat significant day (tax day).
oh, and for the patriot's day thing, Lexington and Concord happened on the 19th of April not the 15th they just moved it to coincide with a weekend. I've read nothing about him being treated any differently than the other victims, and I've been reading most of the releases over the course of the day. If I've missed that particular piece of information, please provide a link.

Not trollin' at all, i've been watching off and on and besides the video clip, the constant talk about ball bearings/amputations, and the death/injured toll they do occasionally refer to that man and the ticker talks about him. The adjective you guys are looking for is person of interest, at best.

I wonder if the Fred Phelps people (Westboro Baptist Church) already have their bus packed for Boston.

I still think the government should sell kill on sight permits for westboro baptist church members who protest like that do. Seriously, i should not drive in to work (while i was stationed on CVN-65 in Norfolk, VA) and find these people holding signs saying "GOD HATES SOLDIERS" or other things along those lines or worse........ I think God hates biggots and hateful people like this more than possibly hating soldiers. Police searched an apartment in Revere but no suspects in custody

I mean come on, The tea party was an important day in American History..... Or maybe the Boston Massacre? anyone? They clearly haven't seen Fringe

She made it sound like she didn't take geography because she didn't want to sound dumb. At least to me. Did it come off that way to anyone else? That is exactly why i made the comment i did.
"I don't wanna sound dumb, yo, so i'm not gonna learn nothing, and be dumbd" Enuyasha said: » Cerberus.Pleebo said: » Enuyasha said: » Well, the suspect they have is kinda a suspect but he's kinda not...and then he's in custody but not in custody...and he's saudi...or maybe pakistani...but im sure he's gunna be a muslim in a few hours. FOX has been doing this as well. it was also reported that someone saw this guy after the explosion and thought he looked "suspicious" so he chased him down, tackled him, & got the popo to nab him. he had wounds from the blast so they took him to the hospital under thier watch for further questioning... no clue how accurate that really is. Pretty disappointing when we even hope for some pop culture knowledge. Some Red Sox, countless movies, something vaguely Irish, Harvard, something. erroneous42 said: » http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2013/apr/15/boston-marathon-explosion-live Quote: Police commissioner Ed Davis speaks, offering his sympathies to the victims. "This cowardly act will not be taken in stride. We will turn every rock over to find the people who are responsible for this. It's been a horrendous loss of life." Davis says that at least three people died, but stressed the casualty numbers are in flux. "There is no suspect," he says. "There are people that we are talking to, but there is no suspect at Brigham and Women's Hospital as has been reported." He went on: "Tomorrow, as the governor said, will not be business as usual in Boston." He says police will be working 12-hour shifts to investigate the case. Yea, the police say he isnt a suspect but the news media outlets are sorta-kinda-maybeing it out to be that way. Cause *** reporting the news we want to put his picture up for people to maul him in the streets.

I hate to admit that that one made me laugh for like 5 minutes straight. She made it sound like she didn't take geography because she didn't want to sound dumb. At least to me. Did it come off that way to anyone else? What happened is horrible, the fact that people do not know where Boston is is ridiculous. /Sigh, please tell me these are "Not" high school graduates. Really hope they figure out who did this, not that it can heal the physical wounds of the people hurt but there is something comforting in justice. I have been reading this thread but not commenting because I was just speechless at first at the bombings, then when I started reading I was speechless at certain other things. Anything I can say just sounds contrived to me. But if any of you remember Angel who used to post here, well, she helped me a bit this morning to be able to figure out what I'm feeling. There's nothing I know how to write that conveys the depth of sadness I feel when our countrymen are hurt and killed, and there's no way I could imagine what the victims and their families are going through. The whole thing is sad and heartbreaking on a level that I cannot go to without being in that situation. But just when I think all hope for humanity is gone, I see people rushing towards the explosion to help others, putting themselves at risk instead of running away. And I think maybe we have a chance after all.
Not being able to understand the depth of pain might make me broken in the empathy department, I don't know. And being saddened but hopeful at the same time might make me broken in other departments. But that's it, that's how I feel. That's what I wanted to say yesterday but couldn't figure out how. All my best wishes to those affected by the bombings. I am a Massachusetts resident.
My roommate ran this marathon yesterday and only got as far as 25.8 miles, before they ***down the race. Her entire family was there to cheer her on as she finished something she's been working hard to accomplish the last 3 years (she couldnt attend last year and got a free spot this year). Her family was positioned exactly in the middle of both explosions on the finish line, thankfully noone was injured and they all managed to escape together. The images and fear of this event will most likely haunt them forever. I know if it were me it would be true. I sat glued to the TV like all of you while I was at work hoping nothing bad happened to anyone I know. Now some people are going to point fingers, some will mock the event and some will blame the government. But one thing will re main very clear. This incident was Totally unavoidable and it probably won't be the last. It is virtually impossible to provide enough security for events like this, and it can happen in any city. Think of every time they have a parade for the victory of your favorite sports team, or music concert, or literally any televised event that attracts a mass crowd. It has nothing to do with tighter gun control or anything else the media can try to spin in their favor. Simply put, this world is not a safe place to live in and we all must do our part to make sure it doesn't continue that way for the sake of our friends and loved ones. For those of you who like to troll heavily remember innocent people died yesterday, many, many more injured.... And it can happen to anyone. Am I strange because it DOESN'T scare me BECAUSE I can't control it?
