YouTube Video Placeholder YouTube Video Placeholder While I'm on the subject of bastardized U.S localized Super Sentai, Tokusatsu, and dubbed mecha anime, anyone remember the horrid "Masked Rider" version of Kamen Rider Black RX? YouTube Video Placeholder Just gotta love how Haim Saban takes the liberty of claiming he "created" Japanese tv shows. not that i liked them, but there were also the gay as hell:
my little pony, raggedy ann and andy, and care bears "SWAT KATS"
YouTube Video Placeholder My elder brother and I used to pretend were them, he used to be the skinny kat while I was the pilot, since I was kinda fat when I was a kid, and used to collect household items and pretend were sitting in there plan. Fenrir.Candlejack said: » Shiva.Moogleking said: » Yeah I was wrong about that. I looked it up and the ultraman im talking about was a show where a character in the show named Shin Hayata would use a artifact called the "beta capsule" to transform into a giant humanoid called ultraman and he would fight to save earth from monsters. Ultraman was a silver and red looking costume. anyways, love that show. Ultraman, having arrived too late to save Shin Hayata, a member of the science patrol, from the evil alien Bemular, merges his life with Hayata's. In times of dire need, Hayata presses a button on his Beta capsule to transform into Ultraman. I had also previously mentioned Ultraman: Towards the Future, also known as Ultraman Great. There was Tiga, Ultra Seven... Fun fact: Eiji Tsuburaya, the creator of Ultraman, was also one of the creative minds behind Godzilla, and if you pay close attention in the "secret dinosaur base" episode of the original Ultraman series, he even goes so far as to recycle one of the old Godzilla suits to make that episode's monster. YouTube Video Placeholder LOOK AT THOSE CUTTING EDGE GRAPHICS. Sonic the Hedgehog. YouTube Video Placeholder All I'm gonna say is I had a phase where I thought I was Sonic. Doubt many remember this one, but Kid Video
YouTube Video Placeholder Spiderman and His Amazing Friends YouTube Video Placeholder Someone else mentioned it, but I agree, Mask had one of the best intro's ever, still get goose bumps hearing. Others but listed: Robotech, Dungeons & Dragons, Centurions, G.I. Joe, Transformers (G1-G4, none of that digitally remastered crap), Silverhawks, and Voltron just to list a few. |
