There an update where they nerfing everything 29 July? Cant find any info on this, but on that note why on earth would they nerf it? A competent LS can handle them now. I see no reason for the nerf. Way i see it, if you want the stuff and your LS cant do it, might be time to join a better LS? dunno how elite minded some people are. Me, not bothered much, but meh if people are winning now regardless of strategy, then its not overly difficult. Nerfing this game (ala Abyssea) is the reason why this game has gine down hill in years. Bring back the difficulty! Bring back the challenge ( and no not Voidwatch, that was just plain stupid lol)
I must admit, I am a bit sad that some few already won against the delve bosses. I hoped that this would take much longer. That this would be an incredible challenge, like AV back in 2006.

Yeah, I wish we had another mob where we still have no idea how they actually wanted it to be killed 9 years later.

Can't understand why such the big deal over Plasm/Airlixirs anyway.
Our Tojil kill generated 1,244,500 Plasm and 190m Gil. Our Muyingwa kill generated 1,382,000 Plasm and 25m Gil (Plus 9% Haste belt still to sell) Airlixirs/Plasm/Gil are not remotely a problem. I do not know where he has got this gimp notion from. So I'm working on getting my MNK mule up to par.
This is what she's currently using: ItemSet 135313 This is what I'm shooting for next: (No NNI, Legion, etc. Basically anything that can't be trio'd.) ItemSet 135316 The first things I'll be getting on her from Delve are weapons for MNK and THF. Once I get those, which pieces should I prioritize first? [I see that the DPS spreadsheet was updated, so I'm going to redownload that right now.] Shiva.Alistrianna

If i recall right, SE's "nerfs" to current content is really just going to be filling in the content levels in between 1-20 to improve gear/power of characters so they have a better chance at tackling harder stuff.

Without NNI, or Legion gear, and given the fact you are shooting for delve gear as well, this would be my suggestion to shoot for in the long run. ItemSet 302596 Mostly delve gear with the mix of gears you are already targeting. I chose Omodaka Gote since you already seem to be successful in salvage, so they should be a fast and easy upgrade. As for the suggestion of which gear to target first for delve gear here it is: Rigor's > Steelflash+Bladeborn > Brais > Jerkin > Asperity Necklace. Augments to Jerkin/Brais would be Type"A" Attack path naturally. Those gears are rather good right "out of the box" even without augments, and will get better as your plasm/gil allow. If anyone has an alternative suggestion on that order, I'd welcome it. Awesome, that was exactly what I was looking for. Thanks.

you moved from "your monk can't tank tier 3-4" to "your monk can't tank tier V". Just pointing out that you don't seem so sure of yourself.
MNK can obviously handle anything but the bosses. The problem you fail to grasp is that you're going to need to turtle up in order not to die if you are tanking. I'm sure you realize how pitiful your damage output would be based on the monsters stats. ScherzoEA strat wouldn't work unless you can get it to the point where every one of his attacks would be lethal.
To be fair, I think that would actually be more of a MNK-specific issue than a universal one. If capped PDT makes damage intake reasonable, MNK would have relatively little trouble hitting the PDT and haste caps simultaneously. MNK's accuracy is pretty terribad against something with these evasion levels though, and a turtle build would certainly compound that
Yeah, that was mostly my point. MNK hybrid set really hurts for accuracy. You're going to need every ounce of accuracy you can get to deal respectable damage against these things.

How does EA/Scherzo interact with Weakness? Does it go off your weakened HP or your unweakened HP?
The issue isn't just that you won't be able to do sufficient damage in a Hybrid set, it's that you might not be able to survive after Lahar in a Hybrid set. It's not possible to stun every Lahar + Meteor + Kaustra either due to building stun resistance. Let's not forget about how slow mnk will hit being weakened ever other tp move.

Yeah, for Tojil Lahar is pretty much the main crunch point that stops you from throwing melees at it.
It's not just the greatly reduced survivability when weakened, you're also suffering a massive DPS drop too. And he really loves to spam Lahar (or at least he did for our 3 fights with him!) Surviving might be possible with EA/Scherzo but you're still lumped with that DPS penalty from being weakened. derailed thread is a derailed thred :/
