Do I need to keep Sekkanoki hands, Sengikori feet, or Seigan Head on the full time to keep the benefits of their bonuses or only for activation?
Like most AF3+2 equipment rules, hands and feet need to be worn on WS. Head needs to remain equipped to receive the benefits as well.

I'd say meditate is much more likely to be the loser due to human error and overTP. I still have my meditate merits for extra room on AM3 activation though.

The question isn't probably isn't really big deal with Koga users due the amount of TA/DA, but there has to be a system to be able to tell where to draw this line. It may sound like I'm going to defend meditate to my deathbed, but I simply want to know how the line is drawn.

Talking about a pure zerg like delve bosses, we aren't spamming our WS macro at 60%, it's more like 80%. No matter what you fighting, meditate comes incrementally and predictably. Small mobs, you can guarantee free self skillchains more often. Boss mobs, you can still can estimate whether you can WS at 60% vs 80% based on meditate. You can't do that with Zanhasso. By the time you realize Zanhasso happens, you've probably missed your window of opportunity to WS before your next rally.

Isn't it all about Namas and Tsuru now and Tsuru + fudo ?
I didn't play in forever and more, but I thought tsuru + namas would be best till we stop playing with 8 song 4 roll and 64567486 def
down debuf.

Also does new hands give same hasso buff as pants wich mean can cap haste with even less gear or remove those ugly legs!?! I doubt they will make the mistake to make them magic again at first so prolly won't find out unless SE give(gave?) the answer :x.

I got Wakido Kote, how would I go about testing the Hasso effect?

I imagine in Adoulin you want to stick with Tsuru, outside it's Amano.

Pretty much this.

Messing with spreadsheet using close-to-ideal (ignoring Tenryu Domaru +1 usage) sets and using 7 SAM Roll I'm getting:

Outside Adoulin:
No SAM Roll - Amano
SAM Roll - Amano

Adoulin:
No SAM Roll - Tsuru
SAM Roll - Tsuru = Amano

So I guess it depends how much you care about minmaxing. Personally I'd keep 300 plutons saved for Yoichi if you have any plans on making that.

I might considering the frenzy going on about AA SAM. Saves me the stress of upgrading for now, I don't plan on using SAM for things like Hard Mode BCs so Amano would be pretty irrelevant for me at the moment.

I'm personally waiting on the haste value before coming to any conclusions, but I don't think it'll change sets all too much unless you're uncapped on magic haste. Some sets rely on that extra 2 STP on Otronif in addition to the 1 STP on AF3+2 legs (7 compared to 6 on Otronif).

Nearly 100 extra base damage is gonna do wonders for Namas. When cRatio capped I'd imagine it would actually be slightly below if not on par with Koga. Should definitely pull ahead if you can 4-hit Yoichi with the help of Tsuru (Tsuru's Save TP transfers to Bow WSs, right? Never actually used that combo, but had someone tell me it does) while being stuck with a 5-hit on Koga, though.

I had planned to build an Amano and long-term maybe Koga once the REM update sorted everything out, but Yoichinoyumi seems like it's the big winner with this update- it kicks Spleogen bow's ***. It's tempting to go that route instead and do Amano later.

Figures now that I put my merits into meditate, the new bcnm hard modes make ACC more important, and I'm assuming making Zanshin better?

Oh well, merits are so easy to get, I'll probably be capped again before the end of this trial.

If the difference is extremely marginal, I'd probably end up taking the Wakido+otronif set just due to the big defensive gains of not having to use an 85 cap piece. I guess ***really does depend on the quality of support, but I'm often dualboxing or running with less than optimal healers. I'm going to go out on a limb and say december update will see some drastic set changes with new ilvl 119 gear though.

I don't recall off the top of my head but does 180 occur more often than 160 with kote+2?

I don't think anyone was expecting AF1+2 to be godly, so I don't really see how you had you're hopes high enough to be disappointed. Macro gear is still macro gear. Still wanna know how hands affect Hasso though, but that'll be after I stock up on rice balls :9

As I see it based on what I know:
Head: Not worth upgrading as is
Body: Maybe if the Haste/StP can move in other gears and up DPS.
Hands: Depends on Hasso augment. If doesn't stack w/ legs, meh.
Legs: Meh
Feet: Apex Arrow?

Crazy thought: maybe the Kote enhance Hasso or Rice Balls with a different type of effect than standard haste or attack/def/hp like we're expecting. Perhaps increased Store TP, increased Zanshin (proc rate or TP return), or increased Save TP, for example. Just throwing that out there.

It's possible they increase the STR gained from Hasso, but it would have to increase most other things a lot to be worth using.

STR gain wasn't increased, that was the first thing I checked.

Edit:

BTW, just curious, what would new TP sets look like with otomi/cetl?

Tsu/Pole/Hag
Otomi/Ganesha/Earrings
Unkai+2/Otronif/K'ayres/Rajas
Tahaka/Cetl/Unkai/Otronif

?

That set is 7 StoreTP overkill. Dropped Tahaka for Misuuchi.

Compared in DPSsheet vs my current TP set (Mithra /war+RCB):

Otomi Helm set about 16 points higher in unbuffed-fodder
Yaoi Helm set about 19 points higher in high-buff-Tojil

So basically if you need the Acc from Yaoyotl, it wins, if not Otomi.

I also only did a quick comparison. Someone else can feel free to crunch more detailed figures.

I was thinking... Wakido Domaru looks kind of interesting, might be able to work out a tp set with it?

Edit: Wakido Domaru testing:

gives double tp occasionally (either 8 or 10 from normal hit, i'd assume 20 from spells)

6 procs in 58 hits to get to 300 tp, probably ~10% proc rate.

AF being upgraded again to ilvl 119 so probably see enhancement bonuses increased. Any info on SAM SP2 btw?

It's amazing! I've had it block aerial blast as well as various delve nm tp moves. From the times I've used it on seen a ~3% increase in weaponskill damage. I'll leave the rest up to the experts.
