Goku vs. Superman
Don't see how its outdated, that IS SSJGod Goku.
Goku needs new abilities, not new hair styles!
After he figures this out he will wipe the floor with Superman. Also Superman has limits, he's only an alien, not god. If his race really did have limitless power then their planet getting blown up would not have even been an issue... A. Superman > Goku
B. Death battle doesn't know *** (aside from the outcome, but their quantification of Goku's powers is short bus at best) Quetzalcoatl.Josiahfk said: » You have no idea how superman works my friend, it's best to stop. There's so many. Valefor.Endoq said: » Obviously never read or watched Dragonball. DB is a multiverse and there are several versions of each character. Regardless of that there is still only 1 Goku main character with his own unchanging history. Unlike Superman that has been passed around more than the town bicycle. The story of Goku doesn't get rewritten. The story of Superman has become more of a brand name than an actual character in a story. Writers keep making up some new garbage and slapping the Superman brand name on it to sell their idea. So therefor we must say that the first incarnation of the Superman story with him at his maximum potential in that original story is the true Superman and that all the other Supermans are just imitators.
So the DBZ "what if" movies weren't different variations of the DB cast? As far as I know most of those movies weren't canon.
Also following that logic anything "GT" wouldn't count because its not the original Goku (not Toriyama's work). The "its a reboot so it doesn't count" argument just doesn't cut it. Also following that logic anything "GT" wouldn't count because its not the original Goku (not Toriyama's work). The "its a reboot so it doesn't count" argument just doesn't cut it. That doesn't explain the same repeated (and quite honestly tired) argument of cutting out facts just to make one character stronger vs the other. Either you are looking at both of them at the maximum potential or you don't compare them at all.
Being dismissive of what it takes to write a comic/manga, cutting out timelines also isn't very sound logic. It's not like they take some bum off the street, hand 'em a marker and say here write the newest Superman/Dragonball storyline/timeline adaptation. The essence of each vision is still technically the same; one hero has no limits and keeps struggling with having to live amongst mortals, the other hero strives to break the limits he has and is apparently part Jesus since he just keeps getting wished back. You just can't compare the two. While new writers do add stories of their own to Superman (or any other comic book character) they can't just add whatever they want, it has to fit with the established rules and history. They can't just change things however they want.

Superman has been taught martial arts (along with other justice league members) by Batman, and knows some kryptonian martial arts. a contingency plan Batman developed, in case their powers would be robbed/nulled/locked and they dont become useless. also, Boxing. Since Batman was able to beat Superman with technology, Goku would be able to use Capsule Corp. for the same if Superman is as powerful as ScrewAttack is saying.
There are a few DBZ villains that would be interesting also, Capt. Ginyu with his body swap technique, or if Buu was able to absorb him (...Super Buu!). Edit found this: Why do they need to fight? They should be teaming up to help keep America/The World/Wherever the Hell DBZ Occurs safe from villains like Lex Luthor/Vegetable Man/Freezer Man.
Why would the darknight returns series even be brought up here?
Also, it's all rather trivial when we look at each ones "God" mode. Supes P1M says hello. So that eventually Batman and Vegeta fuse, forming the ultimate life-form Batgeta. Batgeta will eventually go on to whoop both Superman and Goku's *** and end the discussion once and for all.
Then the duck came in and killed Batgeta, since we are into fusion and all that by now :D We should start fusing all DBZ and DC characters together.
Scarlet Piccolo Wonder Gohan Green Gotrunks Flashing Bulma I didn't even need to watch the 2nd vid. I already knew they'd draw the conclusion that Superman would win, because they/their team don't understand and therefore inaccurately portray Ki based fighters.
Not too mention(after watching the video) the character inaccuracies in how the fight begins, and then the occurrences in the fight itself. Would be more believable if Goku was fighting a Red Kryptonite frenzied Superman, or a Darkseid Brainwashed Superman. Goku doesn't pick fights with bad guys. Bad guys pick fights with Goku. I hate Screwattack!! Here is a clip of Goku super saiyan 5 in the manga.

I should be lurking! /lurks Hate the fact that people are forgetting that Superman loses his defense almost completely when in range of a certain rock/mineral.
