Sperm donor forced to pay child support
This is just messed up the guy is right he has no rights at all to the little girl. One good thing i think can come from this seeing as they claim the kid is his no matter what the path to if he ever wants to know the little girl is still open if the girls mothers give the ok to this. That was the only good thing i got out of this other then 2 mothers getting a kid like they wanted theres nothing wrong with what they did i do not think.

I think it's perfectly valid to scrutinize anyone who's BRINGING A CHILD INTO THE WORLD who is doing so just for the sake of keeping up appearances or fulfilling some social obligation. Their sexuality doesn't play into it. Secondly, I never said nor condoned their actions so learn to read properly. In fact i made it quite clear that I did not support their actions. I was simply mentioning society pressures superimposed on same-sex couples today EDIT: and attempting to comprehend what made these two woman bring a child into the world, w/o financial stability. You two are arguing different things.

Their sexuality doesn't play into it. I understand you're not condoning their action. I understand the point you're trying to make. I just don't feel you're correct. Maybe I am not correctly expressing what I'm trying to say. That said, OF COURSE I don't have the same pressures. But that doesn't mean I don't have equally stiffling pressures on this particular issue. And it doesn't mean that these pressures don't all point to the same thing in this instance: making babies. Not to be an *** about it, but when it comes to making babies, I really wouldn't expect any of my gay/lesbian friends to have kids. If they want to, it's cool. (I actually know a couple right now who are in the process. Incredibly happy for them.) But given that without outside help, they can't, it is never something I would expect of them. Please don't think I'm trying to write off the hardships GLBT people face. You'd probably be hard pressed trying to find a more sympathetic figure than me, in fact, among the "straight white male" demographic. The majority of social judgment I face is by no means comeasurate in pretty much any other facet of the topic. But on this particular subject, I think I can identify pretty damn well. Regardless of their sexuality, regardless of whatever pressure or societal rat race you're trying to win, you shouldn't be having children for any reason except that you honestly want to be a parent. They shouldn't be a status symbol, a means to government assistance or your personal little biological "*** trophy" (I run into this one a lot). Quote: EDIT: and attempting to comprehend what made these two woman bring a child into the world, w/o financial stability. And here is where we agree. I think we probably agree quite a bit. We're just going about it in the way of the internet. Even agreements must be reached via argument. Ragnarok.Ashman said: » Because he allowed his child to have that haircut. I laughed. It's very difficult for same-sex couples to see Joe and Jill, who have minimum wage jobs, pop out a kid w/ such ease. Its very similar to how women in their 40's or later 30's often have tendencies or urges to pop out babies because their "biological clock" is ticking. Bacon knows of what he speaks. hell, growing up, I was in a very small minority that was indifferent (ie: not actively bashing) and was looked at as a outsider/wierd-o. hell I even got into a few fights because I'd blow kisses at the guys on our football team who would give me hell. It's not 2013 out here, guys. Siren.Mosin said: » Bahamut.Baconwrap said: » Bismarck.Ramyrez said: » I can't...? It's not 2013 out here, guys. I already said once in this thread. I'm from redneck central. I know exactly what they go through. And I know you're not going to believe me because apparently, at this point, we're having an argument about who's more oppressed or whatever, but when there are no openly/obviously homosexual guys in your school, the next targeted group just becomes the people who are different in other ways. And that was me. Put up with it for a lot of years. It wasn't pretty. It wasn't nice. And it isn't something I'm interested in discussing on the internet with people I don't know. I'm not saying I expect those feelings to vanish. I'm just saying when you're dealing with the average judgmental societal viewpoint, I'm guessing they don't expect homosexuals to have a lot of kids. In fact, most of them decidedly don't want them to have kids. And I'm saying it again. As relates to the topic, it's still a terrible reason to have children. Bismarck.Ramyrez said: » And I'm saying it again. As relates to the topic, it's still a terrible reason to have children. I met this couple(friend of friend) and they told me they were going to impregnate his sister as the surrogate. I was like cool, congrats. Then I asked what they did for a living. They replied MAC(or it might have been sephora) and Forever21. My point is while these are fine jobs, they don't provide income sufficient enough to raise a child in the LA,SoCal area. But this gay couple was just so blinded in the idea of being a family they didn't care. At the same time I wasn't about to say: "do you two know how much doctors, diapers and formula cost?" This particular lesbian couple related to this story ceased being a couple in 2010. They do however still have 8 other adopted children that they coparent. Hadn't heard this part of the story yet.
