The Naakual hats seem pretty cool...
...but I would have expected the Tchakka one to have a big bad@$$ horn sticking out of it. :p (At least they look like Naakual hats to me...sorry, had to repost since the other thread got locked.)

Siren.Kalilla said: » So the Geo bells are classified as clubs, as in they go in the main slot? I noticed that Geo has another wand strapped to his side. Adoulin is rife with exotic armor and weaponry, and while some of it has yet to be seen by adventurers, the Peacekeepers' Coalition does offer a fair selection of pieces to those who have proved their mettle and established themselves as ardent guardians of the city. Word around town is that there will also be rewards commensurate with the struggle of tracking down the Naakuals and then showing them who truly rules Ulbuka. Karieyh Morion / Karieyh Haubert / Karieyh Moufles / Karieyh Brayettes / Karieyh Sollerets Thurandaut Chapeau / Thurandaut Tabard / Thurandaut Gloves / Thurandaut Tights / Thurandaut Boots Orvail Corona / Orvail Robe / Orvail Cuffs / Orvail Trousers / Orvail Souliers These new clashes of combative prowess take place in a strikingly similar dimension that is yet different from the one to which Vana'dielians are accustomed. One does not simply stroll leisurely into this world, and access will only be granted after collecting segments of certain statues and combining them to form a full simulacrum. That is not all, however, as even finding the entrances scattered throughout the untamed wilds of Eastern Ulbuka can prove a challenge. Why are these quixotic simulacra needed, and why exactly was this surrogate reality even created? Such questions baffle even the most scientifically advanced personages in Adoulin, but reports abound that the makeup of the simulacra change the layout of the world and the spoils found within. That alone is enough to make many pioneers anxious to venture into this enigmatic realm. I can not remember the last time I was this excited for an expansion. I kinda think never. Well I was this excited for FFXIV but then tossed a table about a moth later and came back to FFXI.
I can't say that I feel excited for it, but I am looking forward to what we can do.
I was thinking that too, and I think I remember reading it somewhere as well, went to go find it. Makes sense in the picture, too, since the 'main hand' weapon is on the left side. I guess smacking an enemy with your bell doesn't make alot of sense either, save for that weird Christmas club.

Every time we hear/see something new about Adoulin or anything about what the devs can/can't do you always have a negative response... The person that posted just above you is excited about it and you have to come back with a negative response. I know I'm going to get flamed for this... but really it had to be said. some of the unlabeled weapons/armors look like they can be themed after the Naakuals too. also sort of brings home my suspicions that we'll only have the three naakuals that we currently know about at launch and more will be added later.
The concepts look great but so did Meeble Burrows before you find out you need to wait 20hrs banging on the time gate.
As with all products, execution is what will make or break all this new content. Western Adoulin Eastern Adoulin Rala Waterways Yahse Hunting Grounds Ceizak Battlegrounds Yorcia Weald Marjani Gorge Foret de Hennetiel Morimar Basalt Fields Kamihr Piedmont Sih Gates Moh Gates Wont be available at launch. That's 3 zones for presumably 3 more Naakuals. Valefor.Prothescar said: » Odin.Rendra said: » Siren.Kalilla said: » I can't say that I feel excited for it, but I am looking forward to what we can do. Look at the last few posts about the devs/adoulin information. Apathy =/= like ***talking though, so I'm not sure where your beef is Ren. At least she isn't saying "SE sucks at this, this and this" all the time like some other posters tend to do.
What I said wasn't even negative... I just said I wasn't excited* about it, but I'm looking forward to it.
This is the second time you've picked at one of my posts. Its ok, when I say im cautiously optimistic people jump all over me too for being negative.
If SE has shown us anything over the years, they can hype things up and make them look great but then a lot of time, they aren't as good as expected when launched. The only reason I even said anything about this was because the few posts above yours were all exciting... and i was excited about it also then the next post was making it seem like everyone should not be excited. Just my opinion as well. To be more specific about how I feel about it, I'm more worried than I am excited about it. I'm looking forward of what's to come, but I want this expansion to succeed and win people over.
I'm praying that they don't release 5 missions every few months and drag this on for a year or two. I want them to keep people interested and want to play longer, but not at the cost of ruining a good storyline. I loved WoTG so much, but the wait between missions was an issue with me. That didn't ruin the story for me, it just meant that I would have to wait a few months until I knew what happened next. I'm sorry if you think I'm always negative and bashing on them Rendra, and you wouldn't be that wrong either, it's just that I don't want this expansion to flop and have no one interested in doing the missions because the final mission won't be done for a year. Calm it down you 2, I did not take it negative. but I am excited^^
I think we all want that though besides people like Latifah. Don't see much benefit in being pessimistic though.

I completely agree with you about WoG, but I think the biggest part of that was that they released Abyssea with the level cap raising and they just gave up on it. The last part of the WoG was rushed together and really wasn't all that interesting, it also took them 6 months just release more of the main story because every other 3 months they continued the nation stories. ToA didn't take near aslong to finish... same with CoP Quote: Don't see much benefit in being pessimistic though. Being pessimistic, or at the least reserved, is usually just safety for me. If it flops, I get to be annoying and obnoxious, if it succeeds, I get to enjoy the same product as everyone else. I remember the last time I got really, really excited about a game...heh. (FFXIV) As far as this goes though, by now I already know I'll enjoy the expansion, my standards are appropriately lower for a MMO that's a decade old. I hope the sword is useful, I really want to be able to wear it :|
