If you really enjoyed Salvage, you will still enjoy this.
But the gear is'nt as good as it was compared to 75 era.

If you're interested in the event itself then yes. It's fun like the original salvage. In fact, I enjoy it more without having to deal with cells. Gear-wise, it depends on what jobs you play. It's also great for farming alex if you're interested in a mythic.

Then don't solo? Find another person and duo the new salvage. You're guaranteed a linen purse from the HQ boss, and you can also get one from the NQ. ARII gears that spawn from ramparts on 5th floor have a 100% drop rate on alex. Even splitting the alex, you'll still make more with two people doing the new salvage than one person doing the old.

I'm having fun with it, but if you were expecting amazing gear you will probably be a bit disappointed. Really I don't know why people were expecting this to convince them to come back when it was obviously going to be a rehashed event of sorts either way.

As an event, it's a huge improvement over limbus renewal.

I would assume the reason being because if salvage gear > nyzul gear back at 75 and then neo-nyzul actually making 2.0 version of it actually useful then when salvage 2.0 came out, people were expecting to see similiar results. If they could buff up nyzul gear that well, why couldnt they do that with salvage gear it only makes sense. I dont think people were expecting gear to be replaced from whats currently available(well maybe a few pieces) I just think they were hoping(we should know better) for a bit more...

Exactly this, Salvage gear was pretty amazing over all, with the Neo Salvage gear, you can find better pieces of equip elsewhere. So overall, it's was a pretty huge disappointment for everyone.

Which even in the 75 sets not one job uses the full set except for a few and only for the set bonus....so expecting NS gear to be any different was a stretch. Plus, you atleast got an Usukane+1 that was better and in some aspects best in slot (Replacing their NQ versions) where Denali+1,Askar+1, and Goliard+1 dont exist. Its not a HUGE dissapointment but for the people that believed it was the second coming of jesus,yea.

While not as OMG as most of the NNI gear, all of the new salvage gear is as useful or more useful than their 75 versions at 75 cap, except for a few pieces.

Being a fan of Salvage, I'm disappointed. If they managed to actually make a fun event after all these failed tries, I wonder how they managed to fail with the gear after Neo Nyzul.

I hope they'll manage to pull their ***together for Adoulin, coupling both the reward and the fun.
