Avatar's Favor, +3 second potency starting duration per point
So if I read this right, capping this will start Favor potency as if it were into it's 3rd tock?
Nice!

It basically makes it so when you summon an avatar or activate favor, the initial starting potency of the favor is set as if 30 seconds have already past. So, you start at the 30 second potency instead of 0. 30 seconds being 10/10 job points (3 seconds per point). You know, I think that's actually one of the coolest things they've done.
Bahamut.Shirai said: » You know, I think that's actually one of the coolest things they've done. It basically affirms they have no plans of changing it. z_z But, either way, since it takes 2 minutes to cap the potency, it's not a huge change. It will be useful in conjunction with blood pacts, some testing will need to be done to identify how much needs to be done to max it from start with 10/10. Waiting for confirmation that BPII caps at -15.
If it's really confirmed to be true (likely) maybe we can save some stress getting augment on the Cape, or we can put some items on the slip. Regardless, a 30 seconds cooldown for Wards seem nice to me, it's what we've been asking for years and seems a good number, neither overpowered nor dumb. Might be interesting to note SMN got at least 2 nice armor pieces from Skirmish on this patch: 1) New pants with pet macc+15 and BP damage +6&. These are better than Ngen Seraweels for damage, better than Glyphic+1 for Macc and they might be better than AF3+2 for Magic BPs, especially if you get some macc/mab augments with Snoworb stones. 2) New DD pants for Nirvana users who wants to melee and get some TP for their Aftermath. They have DA+3% and can be augmented with melee stats (acc, att, whatever else you want) Siren.Noxzema said: » Edit: Just saw this, Helios Spats DEF:100 HP+43 MP+69 STR+23 VIT+10 AGI+15 INT+32 MND+22 CHR+17 Evasion+27 Magic Evasion+107 "Magic Def. Bonus"+6 Haste+5% Avatar: Magic Accuracy+15 "Blood Pact" damage +6 99 WHM, BLM, RDM, SMN, BLU, SCH, GEO /goodbye Ngen Seraweels And I just got myself a pair of these, now to see if the augments are similar to the weapons. Siren.Noxzema said: » So, for those curious, the -5 does stack with current gear (I figured it would be BP I -5 knowing SE...) timer was at 32 secs. Still no BP II on JSE cape, so I can't say if its BP II or not (assuming BP II caps at 15) Edit: Just saw this, Helios Spats DEF:100 HP+43 MP+69 STR+23 VIT+10 AGI+15 INT+32 MND+22 CHR+17 Evasion+27 Magic Evasion+107 "Magic Def. Bonus"+6 Haste+5% Avatar: Magic Accuracy+15 "Blood Pact" damage +6 99 WHM, BLM, RDM, SMN, BLU, SCH, GEO /goodbye Ngen Seraweels At least SE isn't THAT dumb. (Though given the special nature of it being basically a JT... It could be coded as a BPIII... There's no way to tell at this point though.) And some quick maths have the new pants being BiS universally. (Though Ngen is basically the same due to it giving acc in addition to the 1% less damage boost.) Assuming Acc and MAB are possible of at least values of 10 each. Not sure if it is... Because I think MAB and physical attack/acc are shared on leaforb stones... Bluh. No idea on new stone augments (other than an assumed -orb = pet). Aren't Ngen 4%?
Also accuracy is worthless. You can get all the accuracy you want through food, the same can't be said for macc, and you get +15 on those pants which is better than our other best option so far (glyphic+1 pants). Imagine getting Macc/Mab+15 on those pants, /drool Yeah, the stone's Augmenting capabilities work in a similar way to the weapons.
Just got a Pet: Double attack +3 on them with a Leaforb +1. Offline

Got legs too. Augment with NQ, Pet: Attack +8, Pet: Regen +3 and STR and VIT +7 (dusklit +1)
Pet augments on *slit?
That's different from the others... [edit] Pet: Double Attack +7! Leaforb +2 He probably used 3 different stones but only mentioned the last one?
Also while each stone has a high affinity towards a certain set of augments, they all can give random low-quality augments from other sets, and it's considered a "bad roll" on a dice when that happens. Or so Matsui said on forums when Alluvion Skirmish was first introduced. Yeah, that is odd, I'd a guessed Duskorb was the Pet Augment item. From the looks of it Helios Spats are the only Hard Stats Summoner related item this update. But from the looks of those augments so far, Helios seems like it may be augmented for Pet bonuses. Maybe Helios is intended to be the Summoner specific alternative to Hagondes. I'm curious what Telchine gear set can receive.
DAYUM! BP Damage+12 & Pet: DA+7 How do you add 2 more augments to it? The Telchine Chausible had 4 augments on it. Would be nice to add a bit more to that already bitchin' pair of Helios Spats.
Dunno, but we think it's a combo.
I'm just hoping for some Snoworb stones to drop so that I can try and get some MAB on there as well. That said, this also opens options to several other of the pieces, I think even Spurrina gages met their match. With that BP Damage, Double Attack AND some MAB, they'd be most delicious Flaming Crush pants ever.
Suddenly the other pieces have become extremely interesting as well.
Stupid question time! Have avatars always been able to parry? Garuda just did and for the life of me I've never seen it before.

DuskOrb +2: BP Damage +7
SnowOrb +2: Pet MACC +30 Are those caps, or augments you've just recieved?
@Camiie, To be honest, not a clue! I've started noticing they did ever since the update where they gave our 70 pacts skillchain properties. May have been before that, but I never paid enough attention to it. Fenrir.Camiie said: » Stupid question time! Have avatars always been able to parry? I don't recall any update notes on it, it just kind of appeared in my chat log with my avatars suddenly parrying attacks. Offline

Upgarde for me, I post screen on FFXIAH.
Lunareticc said: » Upgarde for me, I post screen on FFXIAH. Are the new Spats random drops from the new Skirmish or specifically from NM's based on the pop item used? (Still at work atm) Thanks. Also, which stone is for the Elemental Siphon augments on Keraunos? Random drop.
Siphon Question: Either Leafslit or Leafdim. My choice would be leafdim because you can get high numbers with both +1 and +2. Leafdim +1 being the cheap option capping at +25 (According to BG wiki). I just want to make sure you were talking about stones to augment the new Spats - which btw, which are used for those too? Thanks. Have you guys obtained any other Helios items? If they all augment the same as these spats, the Helios Gloves could put Spurrina Gages out of commission.
