A question from my side, I just got my mitts on this little precious:
http://www.ffxiah.com/item/28505/domes-earring

Anyone know if the DA can also proc on Physical Blood Pacts?
Pretty sure it can. I was in abyssea-misareaux the other day on SMN and had atma of the apocalypse set and I saw a spike in damage on raptor from predator claws.

That's not a very good answer if you do not mind me saying.
If there are two very random things damage wise it comes to Avatar Physical Blood Pacts and Abyssea.
Your spike may as well have been an Empyrian +2 set proc or all hits doing critical damage.
Besides I don't know which other Atma you were using besides Apocalypse.

I guess I'll have to go out and test it myself.

Forget I said that :P

Just confirmed with another SMN, Double Attack/Triple Attack does affect physical BPs but it's only a minimal increase, literally just a normal attack round added onto the pact damage. So if you do an 8k P. Claws and Garuda normally does 300 auto attack dmg, then it'll be 8300 when DA procs. Although it's not much, it is better than nothing considering the other options are Esper Earring, Andoaa earring and other earrings augmentable with MAB+1-2 and the such.

Shiromochi is good for accuracy for your pet Kusamochi gives attack boost to pet and Akamochi gives both accuracy and attack boost. The way the foods works is it apply to both pet and master.

Pet gear has always affected avatars since they are.... wait for it.... pets. Its that pet:attack only had a very small boost on avatars and it was rather crap compared to pet:MAB which was epic for avatars I had all the add-on augmented pet:MAB gear.

ive tested myself spurrer beret and Moepapa Stone and never noticed a difference in avatar attack speed, if it is indeed "Pet = avatar" then why the hell do we have +wyvern +avatar +puppet gear? i dont know what SE plan was but certain pieces of +pet gear ive tested have NEVER worked on avatars period while some seems to

not exactly hard to do u just let an avatar fight without said equip then put it on and watch them fight with timestamp... crazy i know takes alot of effort, takes none to just claim something tho also pretty sure SE said themselves pet gear doesnt effect avatars because of the debate going on over spurrer beret but its always fun when players just go with what they are told, im guessing you still have a millionaires desk for that extra TH along with a 4 leaf clover in bazaar.

well tell a lie some seems to work others dont because there was a +pet MAB staff i used to do and ofc easier to see the difference, but to claim ALL +pet gear works on avatars is just plain stupid.

An avatar is a pet. You cannot call a second pet with an avatar out. To claim pet gear does not affect pets is stupid. Especially when one of the items in question is an item that only a pet job can equip.

also test sample is small but didnt want to overpost but until someone else posts something larger its safe to go by, im not saying all pet gear doesnt effect avatars but because some clearly does but to say ALL does when some clearly dont is what annoys me, maybe pet haste is a bad one to go by since it takes alot to make a difference in attack speed for avatars but spurrer has NEVER increased attack speed for my avatars nor has M stone with or without stacking other haste items.

exactly the same with and without spurrer so where is it giving the avatar haste? the only time attack speed increased was when i equiped marduk feet +1 relic hands +1 or gridarvor each of which is avatar +haste, also with and without said items + spurrer beret with all or 1-2 2-3 pieces not at any point did attack speed increase with beret, maybe it is just beret but it clearly makes NO DIFFERENCE

What's 5% of 5? and would you see it in as short of a sample size? Hmmmm. the game would need to measure the time stamp in milliseconds to show up or rounding errors would erase the gains unless a ton of samples are taken but still rounding can cause false data just from logs.... Measuring the difference 4.75 and 5 is pretty hard to do with tools at hand.

New /checkparam on pet attack and accuracy certainly easier to measure than haste......

Haste+5% on its own isnt going to make much of a difference. You can see for yourself if you take all gear off and add a piece with haste+5 you arent going to see any difference with time stamp. +5 we are talking a fraction of a second its not going to take off a full second. Seriously is this 2005 again?

You proved nothing with your test tho margin of error is to large to conclude anything with your tiny sample size and trying to measure the difference of 5% of 5 seconds using a 1 second timer.

lol sample size hardly needs to be massive if its showing the same ***a small sample is u really need to see 100+ hits to see there is no gain? its attack speed its pretty easy to see.... and if u dont like it go do ur own instead of bitching, all im saying/showing is spurrer beret doesnt work on avatars feel free to show me different or continue using an item thats been proved doesnt work on avatars for years now.

5% of 5 seconds is 0.25 seconds.
5% of 6 seconds is 0.3 seconds.

15% of 5 seconds is 0.75 seconds.
15% of 6 seconds is 0.9 seconds.

20% of 5 seconds is 1 second.
20% of 6 seconds is 1.2 seconds.

As kenshynofshiva pointed out, without being able to see into milliseconds you aren't going to see enough of a difference to know if the beret works on avatars or not with your sample size.

Actually the sample size does need to be significant. You're arguing that a bonus of 5% haste isn't working, yet you're only testing for about 15-30 seconds per test.

Essentially, a bonus of 5% haste means that your pet is attacking 5% faster. So if your pet hits the mob 20 times in the space of 90 seconds without the 5% haste buff, it'll hit 21 times in 90 seconds with the haste buff.

That's a whopping difference of 1 hit in 90 seconds.

So you can see, looking for a visible increase in only 15-30 seconds of testing time will show nothing.

well i posted the short versions i did let the avatar fight all the way through but it was exactly the same as the sample size i posted anyways, u would need milliseconds to actually prove anything but again what i was trying to show is that players just claim it works and tell others it works without even trying to show if it does, things like that and players like that is A reason we have so many retards hell bent on defending gear they have no clue on SOME posters above for example.

for example u get comments like this

"Pet gear has always affected avatars since they are.... wait for it.... pets."

You have bst leveled. If you are confident in your claims, show that you can notice the difference the beret makes to bst pets with such a small sample size. You obviously won't see it, although from your posts seems like you would conclude it doesnt work for those either -_-

The only stupid one here is you if pet:XXX didnt effect avatars then you wouldnt get DT-10% from the MKD head... yet that works, you wouldnt get the MAB off the ACP body.... yet you still get that same for pet:attack and pet:acc. To say that pet:haste doesnt work, since its probably coded exactly the same as the other pet gear, and all the rest do is pretty stupid. You have done an extremely small sample size with time stamp, which only displays hours minutes and seconds and is inaccurate for this kind of test, where you need something that displays down to a thousand of the second if not more. Now do 1000 avatar hits without haste and 1000 with 5% haste with something that can record it properly and with capped haste to see how much your DPS goes up by.

As far as your other remark about wyvern, avatar and automaton only gear os because that piece is meant to only effect that pet rather than all of them. No point have pet: perptuation- as that only effects avatars, no point having pet:refresh as no pets other than automatons use mp....

Truth to be said, there are some pieces that can not work properly, like arcadian braccae, so it is very likely other cases can happen.

If youre sure it doesnt work, the correct thing to do is to fully recheck and go to official forum and report it as a bug, instead limiting to just complaining people are wrong.
