Pharmekia Robe Vs AF3?

Hrm was looking at some gear and I noticed that Pharmekia Robe seems very expensive, like close to 4 mil. Yet it doesnt seem to be better then AF3+1 (much less +2) so wondering, what good uses could the robe be for? Maybe just RDM nuking? Or any BLMs here have a reason to use it? Thanks.

It's BLM's strongest nuking body. Even beats Nares by 1 INT assuming 4/5 set.

I'm guessing you missed the INT+15 because AF3+1 and pharmakeia robe have the exact same amount of magic attack bonus. There's really no comparison.

Yea I guess whats throwing me off is the INT vs MAB from AF3+2 (also forgive me being new to the whole BLM nuke stuff, Ive been a career whm since 05 lol) So while I dont get MAB vs INT from all this. What would you do, precast in AF3+2 then swap in Pharmekia to land the spell?

Goetia Coat +2 has recast delay, not casting time. :x Precast with Anhur if you have it.

Morrigan's Robe +1 (12 INT, 13MAB) and Morrigan's Pigaches +1 (9INT, 9MAB) are new best in slot for elemental dmg nukes now? (If you dont need more MACC)
Replacing Pharmakeia Robe(Nares Saio for those like me who didnt bother about 1 INT with 4/5 lol) and Nares Clogs in the current max dmg sets?

So INT vs MAB? Hows that work out in the numbers? Also The delay on recast, would that work after you cast the spell then equip it? Then again I guess it doesnt matter too much for recasting one spell eh? So guess I should just stay in Pharmekia for now.

the recast is important for all spells cast, and af3+2 should be in your refresh idle set unless you have better.

You can start a magic in fastcast/casting time- equip and change it to potency gear midcast so you end the cast with potency gear for max dmg.

But if you want to lower your recast, you would need to end the cast in haste, fastcast or recast- equip.

Fastcast works on both phases of a spell, to actually lowering its castingtime and to lower it recast time. For example - 10% Fastcast will give you 10%fastcast for the casting time, and 5%recast.

For elemental magic normally dmg is your maingoal, since you can just cast another spell to do dmg until recast is ready. If you are casting stuff for procs you can stack haste/fastcast/recast equip since in that case dmg wont matter that much (or you even want to lower your dmg to proc weakness on weak mobs)

especially magic like stun you want to add as many fastcast and haste to finish the spell as fast as possible while still haveing enough MACC/Skill to hit stun on the target you cast.
