Really? I mean, say she doesn't make your flagpole stiff 100% of the time. Sometimes you have to dip into memory to get the deed done. You'd still stick around because she's a level 40 cook in the kitchen?

Absolutely, for two reasons:

1) Marriage is a whoooole lot more about what goes on when the lights are on versus when they're off. You can't ignore that part, because it does matter, but unless it's actively terrible or non-existent your actual day to day life/common interests are going to outweigh it by miles and miles.

2) Everyone has to dip into memory/fantasy now and then, even when things are good. We're* hardwired for novelty, and no amount of love or lust for my wife changes that. I certainly need it less with her than with other relationships, but to say it isn't occasionally needed is dishonest.

* = I'm going based on men here, no idea if that's true for women. But biologically we're programmed to want variety to ensure our line, etc etc
