Well WotG gave us 5 spells from 6 new regions (or fronts), and this is a whole new front, it could happen! I mean if it does (which I doubt), it'll likely be another asuran claws, but it could happen!

Hehe just read up on it and I love this part

"Scavengers be forewarned! Those who sit back on the sidelines to let their allies do the dirty work will find themselves denied their share of the spoils. Soldiers must make sufficient contribution to the cause to be eligible to reap the rewards."

Don't know how many times see people do nothing in namis and still get credits. I knew one dude pretty much everytime he'd go in then afk for "dinner" which often took like 2 hours... no more mooching ftw... well except for the key item that can stay :)

Well yeah but I have allready lost one, will loose the next as soon as I go campaigning agaqin ; ; (Unless it's possible to get a tag with no active medal?)

It's not. You'll have to lose your medal if it has expired.

Does this update mean that Relic Weapons will be easier to obtain due to more currency?

I'm sure added sources of currency are going to affect the overall price of currency, and in the long run, the total cost of a relic. But I wouldn't expect an overnight change or anything...

I don't know how it is on your server but on mine currency price only went up after the 500k Hourglass update. Tons of people thought it would go down at least a bit... big disappointment!

So unless there is tons of currency dropping from the past... I can't see any change coming, just more people trying to make money with the insane price. Even if a lot of currency drop I highly doubt any significant price change. People are greedy when it comes to Dynamis currency... and there's always some very rich people ready to buy them at crazy price so they can get all that is buyable. I guess time will tell!

Yeah, TBH I don't pay attention to that stuff, as I'm not working on a relic or any of that ***, I was just going based on supply and demand. Although, there is something to be said for solidarity between the sellers...if they all keep the "gentlemen's agreement" to sell their currency at a certain price, then obviously there wont be much change...

Wish there was that kind of solidarity on the food market, I get undercut at every *** turn lol...

As a BLU/THF (cause I hate NIN), I would like to see dual wield II given to BLU and/or THF at maybe like level 30. Why should NIN be the only job that can hold two weapons at once.

If not dual wield, at least give BLU some more shield options to use, and some shield skill. The choices we have now are very limited and not very good.

New BLU spells? There are bunches o' critters out there with special powers that I'd like to steal...erm...learn. Those Wivre's running around need to let me have one of their super powers!

And to finish off my BLU rant...please please please make Azure Lore do something better! Maybe all casting of all BLU spells for a short time, not just the ones you have set.

Lack of understanding economics ftl -.-;

Any new method of obtaining Ancient Currency is going to throw the existing markets into chaos. Even if we're talking 1-2 singles per "Union Event" per person (lowballing on purpose) it is still additional volume in a market that has had its value kept high by virtue of the fact that you need to wait 3 days to obtain more currency.

Hourglass price change was near irrelevant because in that case the only change in the actual volume of currency was from new Dynamis shells. Between this and the emergence of FFXIV (demand factor) currency is headed for a very wild ride.

I can not figure out why everyone says their NPC is stupid? I have had my mithra NPC for a couple years and haven't switched her off of healer since I unlocked it. She hastes, protect/shells, and heals me when I'm low on hp, as well as takes just about any debuff I can think of, off of me. As well as do throw debuffs like paralyze, slow, and dia at the enemy. What more could I ask for? And I'll usually be SAM/DNC or PLD/DNC. So maybe you guys are the stupid ones here? ;) i'm only kiddin, but not about i <3 my NPC.

I don't think my NPC is stupid, but I would LOVE it if they add a way (like BLUs) that you could edit your NPCs spell list depending what you're doing. I find it's annoying when my NPC runs out of MP after 3 monsters from constantly casting. When I'm playing on Nin/Dnc I don't need my NPC to cure me at all. If I could edit his spell list I would only let him use Haste and -na spells...his mp would last much much longer.

Screwing one job =/= must screw all jobs.

My nin is 75 too, so I've already filled the quota for boned over jobs.

Hey, I'd have nothing but sympathy for ya, but there's gotta be a reason why SAM is the DD of choice over other DD's. If it's not because it's overpowered, why is it then?

I'm not saying *** SAM, I'm just saying, make other jobs just as attractive. If they accomplish that through improving those other jobs, so much the better...but SE will prolly just nerf SAM. That seems to be how they roll in those cases...

SAM is the DD of choice because it is the only job that gets a free WS every 2:30. SAM is the only job that gets innate Store TP. SAM is the only job that can WS like crazy w/out feeding any TP to the mob (other than +10 for WS).

In other words what you are saying is give every other job full power Meditate, and Sekkanoki. That would make other DDs as desirable...

I don't see where BLM needs MAB updates, I die in events enough as it is because for some reason I pull more hate than 12SAMs 5WARs 2THFs+2PLDs and a Chainspell Stun RDM... Drain/Aspir the only update I see there.

DRK could see some useful merits outside of Desperate Blows. Berserk is way better than lolmerited Last Resort. Give DRK something to +Attk -Def full time(read: More than 30sec every 4min 10sec) (and don't tell me thats what Plastron set is for ><)

Lol npc is stupid. Always running out of mp from doing random *** buffs all over the place and curing me the second I got yellow. Then sometimes throwing out random debuffs. I swear I had more mp at lvl 30 then my npc does at 66. But I almost always keep it as fierce attacker. Much more useful to me most the time.

Not only can Sam WS like crazy, it still does the same or even more damage than other DD WSs, making it overpowered, and their SCs do ridiculous damage, AND they can self-skillchain multiple ways.

Why would you do that? They don't make light together and you can only continue lvl 3 once.

Tachi: Kaiten
Tachi: Kaiten is a high level, Light-based weapon skill with Fragmentation properties. It can only skillchain with high level weapon skills only obtainable beyond level 67. It can open and close Light skillchains, open for Distortion skillchains, and close for Fragmentation skillchains. If used immediately after a Light skillchain, it can create another Light skillchain. When used with Meikyo Shisui, it can be used for multiple Light skillchains back to back.

I do think my NPC is stupid, specifically because of the spam casting. I mean, my NPC is 52...I'm 75 DNC. She doesn't need to cure me, doesn't need to debuff the mob, doesn't even really need to protect and shell me (and especially herself since she NEVER EVER takes hate) so all that MP get's flushed. I want Haste, that's it.

And yeah, she's spent after 3 fights. I don't ever have to really stop as DNC so it just slows down the leveling is all. I understand not all jobs have that luxury...but I do, so I wanna turn her ***off. Another PC wouldn't do that stuff, I just want to be able to tell her the same way is all...

ORIGINAL SOURCE

The upcoming version update will see exciting developments in Campaign, including the opening of new areas, the introduction of the "Union" system, and a host of other additions and refinements.

The Battlefront Moves North!

The following areas will become potential sites for future Campaign conflicts:
Beaucedine Glacier (S) / Xarcabard (S)

New Campaign Medals!

Currently, the highest decoration players may be awarded through evaluation is the coveted "Wings of Honor." With the new version update, two yet more prestigious distinctions will be unlocked, and the corresponding equipment—including body armors for each nation—will be added to the items obtainable with Allied Notes.

All for One and One for All! Introducing the "Union" System

Building upon the existing parties and alliances, the new version update will allow players to form larger battle regiments known as "Unions." By joining a Union, players may take part in Campaign operations on an expanded scale and receive a wide assortment of battle spoils for successful efforts.

To join a Union, a player need only seek out a Campaign Arbiter while in possession of Allied Tags. Any Campaign Arbiter will heed your request, regardless of nation affiliation.

Great riches await triumphant Unions, including but not limited to the ancient currencies obtainable in Dynamis, a wide assortment of synthesis materials, and the spoils of vanquished Beastman Confederate captains. Such rewards will be distributed via Union treasure caskets after the conclusion of each battle.

Scavengers be forewarned! Those who sit back on the sidelines to let their allies do the dirty work will find themselves denied their share of the spoils. Soldiers must make sufficient contribution to the cause to be eligible to reap the rewards.

Do either of you have Kaiten? No? Pointless discussions are pointless. Sam's not getting any adjustments, so really there's no need to even bring them up here. How about we talk about the update? And I'm pretty sure Kaiten > Kaiten DOES do a light SC btw.

On-topic: I'm looking forward to the new bodies/union. Might be worth doing Campaign again and keeping my rank up. But.. I highly doubt I'll get the Cobra body for Monk... SH+1 and Osode do fairly well for me atm since I don't have Shura +1. >.<

After the 500k update the amount of new LS and random group doing dynamis went up badly and still is way higher today. That's a lot lot of new currency in the market since last update and it did not have any impact on lowering the price. We are not stupid, keep your "Lack of understanding economics ftl -.-;" for yourself. There is some rules and patterns in the economic world but it doesn't mean they will apply 100% of the time in EVERY given situation. I agree with you on one thing though, if something is going to make the price of Dynamis currency go down it will be the upcoming release of FF14.
