XI View/Vision - I'm We Todd Ed

Please excuse my stupidity but I could use some help here.

First is XI view: Somewhere between my last clean install of FFXI and yesterday I switched from clunky old CRT, to widescream pretty LCD monitor. The screen res that I had forced me to move from 4:3 to 16:9.

Long story short: yesterday's update killed my xi view. I tried copying in the new dats and nothing changed. It's really pissing me off and I can't seem to get it to work right. Does anyone have a "clean version" of the rom folder somewhere for download? It's my last resort before just uninstalling and re-installing.


The other problem I'm having is with XI vision. When I copy over the map dats from the most recent post of "all maps incl abyssea dyna etc etc" they all work perfect EXCEPT dynamis. I guess it's not a really big deal but I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. I figured while im asking about thingy A id tack thingy B on there.

Any help is appreciated <3

Just messing Ash, wish I still played recently enough to have messed with this stuff and could help you out.

I pretty much go through the same process every update and it sucks bad. Doesn't make it easier that some people use maps and cursors, but nothing else, someone else uses everything, someone else just changes the fonts. But... maybe this will help.

Last night after replacing everything (I thought,) nothing was any better still. So I carefully went through it again, and this is the order I went in:

1. maps
2. general gui stuff
3. font
4. cursors

And it worked fine. That's probably not much help, but, at least I can say that the stuff still works... eventually

Also, a few updates ago I lost all my dynamis maps as well - actually, for a while, they were causing my pol to crash. But whatever maps I have now I work fine - but I couldn't tell you where I got them. I'm not at home right now, but if this is still going on tonight I can upload them somewhere for you.

I literally only changed the xi vision maps the one time and for view i only use the icons. I've never messed with the menu/gui/etc (just the folder that says widescreen 16:9 and contains a "rom" folder).

Well it's not actually the top post you should be using... scroll down a bit and you'll see Shinobi's link for Vision 2.0. Thats the one I use and my dyna works fine...

That might be it....

Now i just need to figure out a way to revert my ROM folder so i can do a clean install of view (and see if it still doesnt work)
