But on the subject of the latest patch, what was the deadline to use up Guild Marks? And was that the only currency that was going to vanish? Do we have to burn Company Seals soon now, too?

only guild marks are going away. i might be wrong but i think they disappeared last patch... if im wrong though then its NEXT patch they will be gone

...well, Atomos showing up in low-level camps will be scary for some, but the free teleports are nice. :p

Guild Marks are still here with 1.23b (I still have to spend them myself.) I wouldn't wait to find out if they vanish later though.

They are gone in less then a month, you can trade them for materia, gil or crystals.

Yah you really need upwards of 80k in one type just to get a Tier-IV materia, so mostly the options will be for gil or crystals. But ty again for the info!

With the rate they are giving out GC seals with the Atomos event--or even liquidated-seals-to-gils through NPC'ed GC items like Blood Drops or Dawn Drops--I wonder if they won't do away with GC seals as well. I do understand they will use a lower gil cap come 2.0 (at 99,999,999 instead of 999,999,999) so at least the hyper-inflated FFXIV gils still seem relatively safe from removal, given the excess money over the cap can just be stored on other characters or retainers in advance.

Either way the GC's are weird armies now...armies full of lieutenants with no enlisteds or NCO's anymore. :p LOL
