quiebbrfwiuigp;wtiel requires fair to high damage; only 17k health but it gets to use benediction multiple times (on a timer).
I have been trying this, its VERY fun! Just subtract the mandau... using Aluh for a few more weeks. Body(5% Triple Attack) feet(5% crit on Asn Charge) are augmented. What ya think? I think sitting on 6% haste is stupid.

What ya think? Aww cool, I was just recently getting Relic +2 and thinking this very same thing. I mean, .. it's not really optimal, but there's nothing I love more than seeing machine gun daggers going hundred fists on somethings punk ***. lol Course, soon as the self-righteous forum cowboys see this post, they will be all over you with the flame guns, but my hats off to yoU! I have to admit +27% Triple Attack from gear sounds like a shitton of fun... but when does it cap out?
Merits + JT + Atmas + Gear? If there's no cap I'm pretty sure you could hit near 100% if not 100% >_> (barring diminishing returns if they are a factor? I've never math'd THF). It does seem fun though to play with :D Shaidalyn said: » I have to admit +27% Triple Attack from gear sounds like a shitton of fun... but when does it cap out? Merits + JT + Atmas + Gear? It does seem fun though to play with :D With merits and job trait it comes to 38% Triple attack, and with legion dagger would be 40%. I went into abyssea last night for first time for a quick coin of weildance... apoc, RR, SS it was EPIC! I have so much fun with this set i don't care about having only 6% haste my TP builds pretty darn fast and plus i have never seen my raider's proc so damn much before! <3 Bismarck.Josiahfk said: » idk if you can hit 100% TA yet, doesn't seem doable hmmm 11% thf passive trait 27% gear 32% Atma Any new JA on any job in game add to this? Isn't Triple Attack II only 6%? Offline

...he accurately recounted a basic game mechanic?
Did we take into consideration Ambush?
I read that it's +1% per merit upgrade on BG recently. So, from behind a mob, 5% more is attaiable, it appears. Assassin's Vest +2 If you're soloing Dyna, that would probably prove useful after you've proc'ed a Red. Double Attack has no cap that I have ever read or heard speak of. I assume Triple Attack would be the same line of thinking. Forum? Worth intesting to note, how would full triple attack rate up versus haste gear, all variables becoming constant, full buffs, food, etc etc, vs one mob's discernable stats....... huuuuuum seems to me its a difference between constant tp gain and spiked tp gain... and how the average turns out betwix the two Offline

It might even be kind of close if you have no buffs whatsoever*, but as soon as you get a haste buff of any sort at all the haste build starts pulling away.
*leaving aside the issue that the posted set has way less accuracy and attack than a comparable haste setup would, which I'm happy to do because it's not Cutek's fault Haste gear is awesome aside from the haste on it EDIT: Oh, duh. the posted build isn't just getting 6% haste; it's getting 33% DW delay reduction for a pretty big overall chunk before more haste gear's in the mix. Whoops! Offline

(punchline is that you will always have an outside haste buff because you are a THF and thus can use Oynos Knife)
wouldn't it just be a battle between 25% haste and whatever gear you equip in those slots that gives you triple attack and no haste? or how much haste would one truly be lacking if one equips full triple attack in all available slots. hummmm
if all other buffs are constant, how exactly would haste win out over the top? I'm studying for exams for my brokerage license and I wish I could just sit down and devote some time to math without confusing myself lol. but sorry to assist in the derail; unless it can help pertain to the OP title... just real curious lately Let's assume: THF/WAR On a whim, I went and put this together. 24 TA 14 DA 4 QA 16 EqHaste 8 EqDW Then you add: 11 TA JobTrait 10 DA JobTrait (Sub War) 25 DW Thf JobTrait _________________ 34 TA 24 DA totaled w/o adding atma or food (does any food logically work for ta/da/att?) Reasonable atmas would be, Apoc, RR, GH. I don't see a reason to use other atmas without sacrificing performance. so 15% TA added would be 49%TA after all of this. I can't find a gearset of what the optimal THF TP gearset is... but whatever it would be, would be a battle vs this above, I'm wagering. Edit: I didn't include Assassin's Vest +2 w/the Ambush upgrade (that's 5%), simply for performance's sake. Nor did I include the Triplus subligar, same reason; in order to keep up w/Haste. And I included the probably very hard to get Puginulcus Dagger, not sure how realistic to obtain it would be, but w/the very low 150 delay, could it contend w/STR Thokcha in anyway? Maybe I could go on the Test Server and put all this together and parse it on some random mob? Which would be best to choose? Not colibri I would think. WHat do ppl test on these days? Nobody tests gear sets when they can just do it with math.
True. But 49% inside Aby is pretty interesting don't you think? Ok, hittin the books.... byyyyyeeee

I hate that every time Austar posts I have to stop and watch her avatar for a moment before continuing. So adorable.
Anyhow! Thanks for all the input from everyone. I'll get to work on VW and such when I get home, maybe, but for now I'll be just working on what I can do solo/2boxed :) |
